I just bought the magnetic blackout panel for my '05 (only $40 from 50resto ). I would not worry about it scratching your paint- be careful w/ the panel itself- it is vinyl and prone to light scratches so clean it carefully when you wash the car- no hard abrasives or brushes. Also when you place the panel on the car, use a lint free rag on both the panel and car to remove light dust, dirt, etc. for a good fit.

Yah i bought that same panel from the same place.. was looking great for a while, but apparently when i cleaned it i missed a few spots? and dirt stayed on either the car or the magnet.. well when i put it back on, everything flattened out except a bunch of little dots and messed it all up.. it looks like it has zits.. so i had to take it off.. ![]()
