wax for my new car

2 Attachment(s)
Well my parents finally got me my new 2007 Mustang, vista blue. I want to make it really shiny. This morning I washed it and then waxed it with Mothers Original paste wax and when I was done I was not satisfied with the shine. It is ok but I want it to be sparkling, what should I do? I have a picture attached.

The wax doesnt really do most of the shining its the polish that does that and gets ride of any small shwirles. What i would do is wash it, use a good polish, then wax it.

You shouldnt need to clay bar that car as its soo new im sure its in good shape i would hope. If your just looking to get over the shelf items meguires has a nice 3 step kit has paint cleaner, polish, and pure carnuba wax which is a nice OTC kit and will do a good job on your paint. if you wann spend some more money on internet only order items we can help you there too.

I wouldnt get that. All itll do is hide the swirl marks for the time being. Instead, I recommend Pinnacle XMT 360. It cleans, corrects, and seals. It isnt meant to hide swirl marks. It has ultra fine abbrasives, so itll correct minor scratches and swirl marks. The polymers in it have some sealant properties too. Top that with Pinnacle Sig. Series II, or Pinnacle Souveran Paste and youll have the best shine on the block. Some cheaper alternatives for waxes are Poorboys Natty's Blue, or DP Max Wax.

Here are some before and after pictures I have of removing swirl marks using XMT 360, PC 7424, and the Edge pads.

What I was up against.

Thats what i use for a polish on my car along with there EX-P sealant but your not a car that should use the EX-P its more for silvers and metallics like MG etc..

Then all you're doing is hiding swirl marks with the fillers in the "polish". You arent removing them. IMO, thats a short cut way to get quick results.
