New sounds system issue

i just put in new speakers, infinity preference, and i put dynamat in my doors. The rear speakers bump pretty well when i put in all to the rear but when i even it out the front speakers, when at a somewhat high volume have a deep pop not a thump to it. I thought that the dynamat would eliminate that. So i was wondering if there is a way to get rid of it. My friend has rockford fostgates and he has good bumps in the front and rear so i dunno what the deal is.

your new speakers arent supposed to "bump". If you want bass, get a subwoofer.

it sounds like your speakers are popping from too much bass. turn it down or get frequency blockers on your front speakers to eleminate bass from them.

ya I'd turn down the bass before you blow your new speakers. get subs if you want your shit to thump.

i have a jl 10 but the box is _ucking huge. Could i use a truck box in my trunk and is that the smallest type of box for a 10" sub

optmum box

all you have to do is goto www.jlaudio.com find your model of subwoofer then click on the "optimum box" link, its probably towards the bottom of the page. write down your measurments goto home depot pick up a sheet of 3/4" mdf, sh*t you can even have home depot make the big cuts for you so all you have to do is cut your speaker hole, nail gun that sh*t together, take some wood glue run it along all inside cracks(where the wood meets together) to make sure your box is keeping the correct sqft of air you need. dont use a truck box unless you plan on ripping out your back seats and have your subs firing off of the rear window. oh FYI i created a sn just to explain this to you so best of luck and trust me any sub with its optimum measurments and the correct tuning will blow your f*cking mind. email me at socalmorris@yahoo.com if you have any more questions i doubt i will be checking this site very often
