How do you clean your wheels?

So all this talk of polishes and waxes etc.. got me thinking how do you take care of your wheels?

With the bullit since they are painted i treat them like i should, like paint. I wax and polish them every time i wax the car. And i only use water and soap no wheel cleaners as alot of them are pretty harsh and will take the wax and polish off the wheels. after a good washing i use a QD (quick detailor) like Meguair's Quick detaior its a spray wax mix that gives a nice shine and add's some protection between waxing. I use Egale One "never dull" on the polished lip to keep them clean and shiney as well.

Doing this has made my wheels look better and the brake dust normaly comes off very easy at washing due to the wax.

So how does everyone else do there wheels?

I pretty much do the same with my Bullit's.

Water only, micro pad, then mothers mag/alum polish.

I have chrome. I just use water if it's light or water with my car cleaning soap.

Usually that works just fine for me. Sometimes I go another step and use Mother's Chrome Polish.

use wheel cleaner and scrub them with a mit, then rinse.

My wheels look like crap so im not going to the extra mile to polish them up.

my wheels look good from pictures but theres one that has clear coat peeling which is my passanger side rear rim. Its about an inch of peeling and its dark colored too.

I just use Windex and call it a day. If they're really bad (like water spots that won't come off), I'll use chrome polish.

windex? thats kinda random.

If you have chrome then you really shouldn't use Windex. Windex has ammonia, which = bad for chrome.
