Default SLP loudmouth differences?

i'm looking into exhaust, and the SLP loud mouth cat-back series seems to be the best, and by looking at the members using them, they seem to be very happy with the system. what are the differences between the Loud-Mouth I and the Loud-Mouth II...i know the II has mufflers, but are the power gains different? sound ? any help would be appriciated

Neither the Loudmouth nor the Loudmouth II has mufflers. They both have resonators. The II is just slightly quieter. The SLP Power Flo has mufflers and is the least loud of the bunch. I have the Loudmouth, but never heard the II. I imagine it is just a tad less loud.

I would think the power gains from the Loudmouth and the II would be marginal.

I have the loud mouth 1 and you can hear this exhaust a few block away at full throttle. I have some video clips http://www.mustangtuningforums.com/s...ead.php?t=2723 . I want my stang to be mean sounding I have an SUV to go out with the family so the mustang has no limit on what I can do to it.

dont need a lift. I used ramps and a jack when I need alittle more clearance. It isn't that hard of a install. Hardest part is cutting the old exhaust off.

Its simple I did my bros and my slps,it took under 2 hours two people with hand tools. If you have an impact gun should take about 1 hour. All you need is two jack stands and a hydralic jack. You raise the back as high as you can be sure to put tranny in gear and block off the front tires so car will not roll forward. Since the jack stands are supporting the weight in the rear the rear axle should be down all the way. You will need to cut exhaust in two parts, I used a cordless reciprocating saw cut it just after the muffler. After that two bolts and two hangers later you should be able to remove old exhaust. Note that the 99 an up stangs use the factory hangers and 96-98 the slp kit includes a special hanger plus a metal block that bolts onto the tailpipe hanger that lowers exhaust to clear bumper, this explains why its more expensive that the late model stang catback. Next step would be to get the hydralic jack place it in center of rear axle and raise all the way up this is needed so you can fit the slps and check for clearance. Just start from cat and work your way back but do not tighten too tight as you will need to fine tune fit to make sure you dont rub on anything. Make sure you tighten up everything and let her rip. Here is a pick of my old exhuast and where it was cut. I have my old flowmater catback for sale .

Yeah, its much easier with 2 people. I did the install myself, took me about 3 hours. Plus that includes sometime finding the nuts I dropped in the gravel that connect the H-pipe to the catback :angryfire My arms killed me the rest of the day from holding the sawzaw
