Supercharger Install

Im almost positive that i will not be able to do the installation myself, not a very good mechanic, where would i be able to go to have it installed.... Any idea on the cost.
*in case it matters it will most likely be a vortech s trim.

do you have any idea how much a shop would charge?

usually shops are hourly charge.

Vortech says 6-8 hours I think, but it'll prolly be more like 9 maybe 10 hours.

Shops around me are about 60-65 dollars an hour.

MPH has a base price of 650 I think for a centri blower install.

I have been quoted about $700. Just be careful as to what is included. Does that include a compression check? What about installing gauges that you may want to add etc...? It can all add up. Also, the kit matters too. Prochargers cost more then Vortech because of the cooler.

true .. however the procharger is much better system ... my mustang specialist says vortech is trash .. hes personally installed over 400 blowers so i belive him... he says P1-sc2 best you can get for the dough... get intercooled its worth it... anyway procharger is alos cheaper to install by far.. bc its self contained and easy to install anyway and the cooler won't cost any extra really bc its air to air... unlike the less effeicent vortech... anyway long story short - the only hard thing to do with procharger is the injectors and fuel pump... but you can do it yourself .... im probaly going but then again my shop will do the whole kit installed for 4k so why waste my time.

Just install it your self instructions included with any supercharger will help get the job done. The hardest part is getting the fuel pump removed and installed. Take a weekend to install but worth it. And guages take like 5 mins to install. just make sure you get tuned after installing and you should be fine. Besides knowing how to install it yourself will help with trouble shooting later down the road should anything go bad. Just my $.02
