Default Finally finishing up the nitrous system!!!

Well i finally ordered the final pieces to finish up the nitrous... I'm gonna be spraying 100 shot with dual purge thru the shaker scoop Now for the Q&A... What kinda plugs do i need to go to, and do i need to go get a new tune, or can i just run stock tune...

You should be fine on stock tune. Change out your plugs to 1 heat range colder. Brenspeed has a pretty decent price for NGK TR6's. I'd go ahead and change your fuel filter too.

If you can get a different tune then do it, but you should be fine with stock tune.

Yes. Because usually they will retard timing to help prevent detonation and also adjust fuel for the wet shot.

You'd need two tunes, one N/A one for spray.

Please tell me you have both a window switch and a WOT switch? Safety first or GTFO.

I do have a wide open throttle switch, but im gonna also be running a manual activation button. Old school style. So i have an SCT handheld, what you sayin is run my current tune day to day n have em make another tune just for nitrous to run when spraying?

You need a window switch. IMO, that is the most important part.

And yes on the tune, takes less than 5 minutes to swap tunes. So its a simple fix for a problem that could end up badly. Most people do okay with 100 shot, but IMO you always need a tune or at least a wideband to see how the car reacts to the spray.

1. NGK TR6 plugs, iirc gapped at .032
2. Replace Fuel filter ..clogged filters restricting in flow of fuel can and will lead to catastrophic failure.
3. Tuning is always a good thing to do, on a SCT handheld, the amount of time it takes to swap tunes, is worth it. Because the price of a new motor for something that could've been prevented, is major.
Manual Cars - Window Switch, WOT Switch

A proper setup for a nitrous kit and the time it takes to install it is well worth it. You don't want to be sitting with your thumb up your *** in a few months because you just broke a piston or something and you have to rebuild the motor, costing you thousands.

Alot of companies make them.. dynotunenitrous was always the company I liked to use.

I didn't know you were running Dynotune. Was your whole kit by them or just the electronics?

The solenoids I had from dynotune ended up going bad shortly after I had my car built, I was at a race at the track, and the guys that did the work on my car happened to have brought extra solenoids, so we stuck those on, and I never changed them out after that.

I didn't have any electronics really, because I was an auto car. I just had a WOT switch on the throttlebody.

At one point though, yes my kit was all from dynotune. Bottle warmer, solenoids, bottle, jets.

The shipping time, and customer service is something I really liked about them.

Just get the N2MB wot box and get the nitrous controller kit for it. Then you have one box controlling WOT shifts, 2-step, window switch, and WOT switch.

Looks like a nice little setup and will do both rpm's and WOT.

Whats the exact part number for the plugs i need? I just don't wanna get anything wrong!

Thanks bubba thats what i was lookin for. Yet again you're my nitrous savior! lol Now they're ordered too NOWWWWWWWWWWWWW do i have everything to finish up my nitrous system??? LMAO

I run 2 step colder plug NGK BR7EF...I bought 5 sets of them a few years ago and still have stock left over, lol. Can never have too many plugs especially on days your running lean. Lean kills these copper plugs.

TR6 is the NGK part number and the 4177 is the NGK stock number. I always wondered why they two different numbers myself.

Advance and Auto Zone have them under the 4177 and one of the local speed shops have them under TR6.

yea, sometimes they are pains in the asses to find. Seems to me Carquest or Napa has always had them though.

well the tuning of nitrous is always important , it should be well tuned to get the better performance.
