125 shot

I was wanting some info on running a 125 shot on a 2000 mustang gt. I have a rpm window switch, ngk tr6s, sct nitrous tune, 255 lph fuel pump and steeda timing adjuster for extra timing removal. I have the Nx plate system and was wondering what will be safe for the car.. I have the 100 shot on the car and it works great, but just wondering what i would have to do to get the max out of the kit. Thanks

You could probably run 125 or even 150 with a corrected tune with that fuel pump, but the risk of something breaking will definately increase.

Ask yourself..."can you afford to break the motor?" If you are really worried about it, then leave it alone. If you can deal with issues, then get the tune right and run it.

With a good tune, I'm sure you can run a 150 shot. 125 would be more on the safe side, but 150 is definitely doable.

150 shot is pushing it to its limits on a stock motor like that... I wouldn't.

125 shot is doable, but like WaterDR said, the risk of breaking something increases, then again, you're running nitrous, the risk of something breaking just shotup quadruple anyways..

Some guys like Spike have been lucky and haven't broke shit...then theres me...where I break shit on a 75 shot..

If you want to do it, re-tune the car on the dyno, get a true 125 shot out of it (will mean jetting the car a couple times on the dyno) and call that good.

The main thing about messing with nitrous jets is the jetting all depends on the kit, sometimes you end up having a lean spike for a short period of time that can eventually exploit a weakness in the motor. Or, you could just be running lean all together...

If your worried about breaking stuff, stick with the 100 shot. If you aren't worried about it like me then you can rock a 125hit with the right fuel mods and good spark plugs and the correct use of the kit. I have been on a 125hit for I think its getting near 5 years now. Only been tuned since last October.
