Looking for some info on the install of the P-1SC kit. Is it hard or can 3 people with moderate maintenance skills be able to install this in 8-10 hours. Any tips would be awesome.

i had a friend install his own SC, granted it was twin-screw style, but it took him and his dad (both moderate mechanics) about 12-14 hours all in one day

wade if you had me there it will take like 45 minutes to put that **** in.why 45 minutes because i would give up and just resort to drinking heavily. but really dont break nothing buy some good tools and start putting that crap in, better yet go to the hobby shop after you already installed the injectors, fuel pump (hope you got a better fuel pump then the one supplied) and gauges. the hardest part will be the intercooler make sure you mount that securely no half ass ****.

After 5 hours of installing called it quits and decided to ask for some advice. I got the P-1 installed and got the intercooler in with minor problems and after some yelling and cursing. Gave up. So frustrating getting this stuff to go in. Anyway the lack of clearence for the inlet plastic peice into the charger does not fit because of the rad. I broke the darn platic that holds the fan sensor. Nothing seems to fit and not sure why. The kit came complete but the instructions suck big time. Hardly any pics on what the install looks like and none of the info is really helping. Granted I'm a newbie with this install but the advertisments say it is the easiest install out of all the superchargers. What is the deal. Any help would be great!

weird the procharger installs i have used were great. Did you check the procharger site i think they have instructions posted on there. I thought they were very help full.

After taking a long nap and getting the cob webs out I realized that it actually is pretty easy now. I'll tell a good nites rest makes things alot better. The inlet plastic is easly installed by applying heat to mold it to fit. Will post pics tonight after completion with some install pics.

Install almost complete, Just wondering where does the boost guage install at the kit instructions really don't specify, and wondering where the surge line hooks up to the plenum or somewhere else. I'm a newbie at this and need some advice. Thanks to anyone who helps.

damn. about 2 weeks before im due home ima put a supercharger on order. im still debating between a vortech s trim with paxton air to air or just getting the p1sc. ill also need some longtubes and x pipe and then im off to jdm for my tune. then i should be back to dover in october sometime. im driving my **** cross country to cali and back to de. that should be some good break in time for the supercharger. |

Dude that will be cool. Just stay off the hard stuff until you break it in. Looks like I'll be easy for atleast 500 miles. Then I'll check it out. I'll tell you I've noticed a big difference in the car already. Got a guess on how much power I'm making?

conservative 360. with some leaner conditions 370-380. get some shorties. how loud is the sc?

it is not that loud when driving but at idle you hear it. But I think you would like the sound of it. I get more of an exhaust tone it sounds really good. I'm impressed with it. All I need to do is fix the guage problem and the streeing cooler line leak. I'll be good to go.

Okay now that all the peices are in place and after all the phone calls today to procharger, I have the car finished except for the tune. I think I will be around the 400 RWHP mark which is good. Getting dynoed at Kauffmans this month. Will post results.

you should be at around 380-390 with a conservative tune...im pushing at my best tuning session 378 with no intercooler and an awesome tune, my friend works at diablo...now once i have my intercooler project done i'll be sitting pretty with over 400rwhp..

if your looking for a supercharger (PM me) I am a dealer for Vortech, paxton, and procharger. I do a little with whipple but not much. I can get you the best deal out there.

Finished with install, ed clark is tuning wednesday and depending on heat outside, looking at 400rwhp

I figured somewhere around 400 HP. I thought 12 psi intercooled could get me above 400. I've seen alot of people on other forums talking about how they have stock motors and power adders making over 400 to the rear with less boost. I'll be ordering a new belt tensioner soon and getting a RR pulley for the blower very soon.
I got my kit for 3400.00 and bought the injectors and MAF for 200.00 , well worth it. Procharger install was a bitch because of the lack of instruction. I can see a speed shop or mech ripping you off if you had it installed in a shop. 400 RWHP that is good but I"m expecting more from this kit. I guess off to the dyno I go. I will have video of the before and after dyno pulls posted later this month. |

if you have a stock motor, i would not go over 400rwhp, this is due to the weak rods and pistons that we have in our cars. Go over that and put 12psi on and you will be buying a new shortblock real soon. Most of these guys that are running over 400hp on here also have forged their internals allowing them to do that. Just be careful.

not a worry in site. When you have a safe tune, and good air/fuel mixture you are good.
Granite I can shift now up to 6500 rpms, if you shift at 6000 your motor will last. Call up Ed Clark, Jason Steen, Tim with miles per hour, and they will tell you the same. It is always best to get bottom end forged though, and my motor is being built here soon. 800rwhp here we come!!!

Alright some one with a procharger explain this to me I have one part left over and no where in the instruction guide does it say anything about this bracket. Anyhelp would be great.

Alright well after about six runs at cecil I'm not too happy with my numbers. But then again I have a heavy ass vert and auto. Anyway here are the best run of the night
R/T .078 OAT 80 60' 2.020 PA 29.92 330 5.625 Humidity 76% 1/8 8.539 miles per hour 84.10 1000 11.055 1/4 13.173 miles per hour 106.55 On street tires not DR's or slicks and only using 3/4 throttle. Have plenty of power and just saving it for the tune. |

if you only went 3/4 throttle then why arent you happy. plus your 60 ft times could be a whole lot better. what tire pressure were you running at?
13.1 is pretty decent. with better traction and practice that could turn into a 12.7. |
