Procharger

Ok....so i was originally planning on a head and cam swap but figured F*CK IT! With a little extra cash I can throw down a lot more HP with a procharger. I getting everything set up as a college grad gift from my extremely generous parents and want to make sure I have everything in line. Im getting a
-P1SC kit that comes with injectors and a chip
-SPEC stage 2 clutch
-moser 31 spline axles (do I need a new differential or will these fit stock???)
-focus SVT fuel pump
-90mm mass air

Do I need anything else or should this have me pretty well covered?
What kind of numbers are you guys puttin down with a P1SC?

You'll need a new diff with the 31 splines I believe.

As for this being a gift....that's a helluva nice gift. Especially being a P1 too.

Your gonna need 42# injectors and a dyno tune to really get any good numbers out of it. And you need a 31 spline posi to use 31 spline axles. Rest looks solid.

Go with a D1.

Hahaha...thatd be nice but I gotta keep it a cheap as possible. The Rents are just gettin me the blower kit and the D1 is an extra $400.

The kit comes with 38# injectors...I need to go 42 for sure?

Ive gotta pick up all the drive train/accessory parts that go with it....still a pretty kick ass gift...especially since they hate me moddin out my car!

Has anyone swapped the rear end themselves? or is this something I should leave to a pro to install?

Thanks...........

What kit are you looking at?

I've swapped out one before, but unless you're seriously inclined and have like two friends it'll be a PITA...

But, it'll probably also cost you a ton to have someone do. But, that's not something you want to do and mess up even the slightest bit. Or else you could get into some major problems.

I think 38# would be okay, you could use them and see if you need bigger when you get it dyno-tuned.

If your talking about installing the procharger it is not hard at all. And they come with good instructions. The hardest part is installing the blower bracket after that the rest is easy if you ask me. Fuel pump swap is also easy, takes even someone who has never done it before maybe 2 hours max to do it taking your time. I for sure would get 42# injectors over 38# ones. That's why I am wondering what kit he is looking at.

I will say I am jealous as I love the Prochargers kits. If I ever go to another power adder it will be a Procharger setup with a 50shot on top of it.

Ohhh the procharger.....my bad. I though you meant the diff.

I was talking about the diff install. The procharger should be relatively easy. The kit that I found is on ebay and it comes with 38# injectors. I guess Ill see how they work and upgrade to 42 if needed
