NITROUS BACK FIRE!!

what makes it backfire and how to keep it from happening?

just cross your fingers! i believe it backfires from fuel puddling in the intake. Make sure you get a window switch (don't spray below 3,000 rpms), WOT (wide open throttle) switch, run a 1 or 2 heat range colder spark plug, and back the timing off.

It backfires flow lack of airfow which allows the fuel to fall out of the moving air and puddle up this makes it backfire. All you need to do is spray above 2800-3k rpms most of us do 3k its safer. Colder plugs and timing wont effect it backfiring.

For a manual i would recommend a window switch for an auto i wouldn't bother.

so i wouldn't have to worry about it on a dry system then?

Yes its not a problem with the dry kits. However they cost more money to setup and make less power and aren't as tuner friendly as wet kits. My advice is go wet kit been spraying wet kits for years only had 2 small backfires. One just a backfire in the motor and nothing happened, and one was in the intake and blew the filter off thats it.

ok because i watched a 99 cobra blow its intake in half that wasn't very cool ha ha but it was my friends car lol

Both of mine were because My window switch was set to low. All you have to do is spray above 3k and you will be fine.
