IC vs Non IC s/c
So im new but doing my research before the summer time in which i will make a supercharger purchase for my 05 Mustang GT. I see kits price tables showing intercooled or non intercooled. Obviously the non ic is cheaper but what situations am i looking at going with the non ic for a lower cost out of pocket? I am looking at the roots style s/c kits, i am positive that is the style i want. i am a daily driver for the most part. I more less am looking at having moderate fun with the car. I prolly will never run the car at a drag track or put it under any type of crazy use on any sort of normal basis...please provide ur knowledge for me, thanks.

Power adder questions go in the power adder section, moving....
inter cooled will be more money but its going ot make more power safer as less heat is less a chance of detonation. |
on 05's there's no excuse for not going with an intercooled kit particularly on a positive displacement blower. The 3v motors have pretty high compression and you need the intercooler to help stave off detonation under boost especially since it's a street car and has to drink pump gas.
Get the intercooler. |
