max flow power cooler
 

After a great day at the track last weekend I felt really happy about how the car ran.

But after a few days went by, the feeling wore off and now I seek more power.

So I'm looking for some opinions on Vortech's max flow power cooler.

Seems to be some on ebay for decent deals.

Any insight were be appreciated!

If you can get one for a good deal then its probably worth it. I dont have one. I went with the paxton kit. I really do think the paxton air-air setup with bigger bypass valve is the best setup to go with. If your planning on staying below 14psi then I would say the powercooler would be great. But if your looking for huge numbers then id go with the paxton kit.....

Well for now, i will be staying at 10 lbs.

with a house in the near future, funds for a built motor will be tough to come by.

i'm really just looking for some different ideas on cooling the boosted air down.

if i may ask, what kinda costs is your kit going to run me?

it won't matter to me how it gets cooled just as long as it works

Well the paxton kit comes in a little cheaper than the powercooler setup. MSRP is $1399 I believe. The powercooler is $1699. Those prices are from superchargersonline.com. But I got my setup used from a guy on Corral.net . It came with the intercooler setup and the maxflow bypass valve already welded for $730 shipped. Cost me $60 to have the fitting welded on my powerpipe. If you dont have a powerpipe then you would need one for the paxton kit. I think youll be fine going with either one. I also see powercooler setups for sale on ebay all the time for around the same price I paid. If you get the vortech kit then youll have to move your battery to the trunk though.

If it's going to be a DD street car get air-to-air.

get a aquameth kit..well worth the money.beats most intercoolers.

lol...no thats not it,i installed a bov and didnt relocate the sensor, so when i let go of the gas, the computer thought that all that air was going into the engine, but the bov was blowing it out, sooo yea, i know that was stupid of me...
