hey guys, i got a KB 2.2 for my mustang, and im waiting to put it on, just because i want to upgrade the fuel system at the same time ( dont want detonation!!), even thought im only going to run about 6-8# of boost for now. Now i know many of you would suggest 42#ers, or maybe more, but a guy locally will sell me 36#ers, and an 80mm MAF along with an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator for a good price(AN EXTREMELY GOOD PRICE)...would this be a good idea with 36#ers and an 80mm MAF or would that be a little too small and risky?? Just looking for another opinoin...Thanks everyone

KB sells their 2.1 kits with 36# injectors. since you have the 2.2 KB and only want to run 6-8#'s of boost that is way out of its efficiency range. that blower will take built 2 valves to 600+ hp on race gas.
what kind of motor are you putting this on, 2 valve, 4 valve? |

I have no idea if the blower will fit, but don't leave yourself short on the fuel system.

at 6-8psi the 36#ers will be fine, im assuming no heads, cam intake upgrades just basic bolt ons right? your car will make i would be conservative and say 350rwhp maybe at those low boost levels and such 36#ers would be fine. I would just spend more and get get 46#ers like you said were gonna recomend them because there a good injector for boost and no worries of running out of injector. Plus you can get them used from ebay or for sale sections on the net for cheap if money is an issue like me.

I would really avoid buying used injectors for a blower kit. Do you need to replace your engine that badly? You want it blown? Look... just pony up the 250 bucks for a set of NEW 42lbs squirters and feel great about it. Half-assing it with used 38's is asking for trouble... only takes 1 problem getting fuel into cylilnders to smoke a motor.

got google? use it.
summit racing has injectors from 200-300 depending on brand and rate, http://www.suncarb.com/Prices.html has remanufactured injectors for 200 bucks a set regardless of rate, etc... If you can't find what you're looking for, try changing your search terms. |

No question about it I would go with the 42's, but I would buy new one for sure. This is no area to be trying to safe cash.
