dont worry about doing the PI swap...if anything thats the last thing you wanna do cause it raises the compression....you want a lower compression for boosted applications...just get NPI cams and port you existing heads or get some VT stg 2 or MPH Race heads

after weeks of talking to people about this concern, I've come to the decision that this was the way to go, I'm only going to be running 8 lbs of boost, so the compression won't be much of a concern, plus im going to get steen to dyno tune my car so i completely trust them...

if I might pop in for just a second. You want to run 8psi on a 10:1 compression motor with hypereutectic pistons. If you're really sure you want to do that (don't get me wrong, I know this to be a really powerful combo but let me finish) then you really should build the bottom end. Sorry to be a negative nancy but I've seen it before enough times and it's just a matter of time before the bottom end gives out and you're stuck with a rebuild (just bolts and gaskets are $300+, assembly is 1000-2500). Or you can find a 99+ short block and just bolt it up so to speak.
You've got PI heads and intake, find yourself a 4.6 block on craigslist for cheap and spend the 300 bucks to machine it then buy a forged rotating kit and have it all put together. It's gunna be kinda expensive and it'll take a while but when you're done you can be happy knowing your motor will hold together when you're smoking a chebbie.
