Venom 1000 question

if i were to instal the venom 1000 on my 98 gt, what modifications would i have to make? i know i would need to get different plugs but what kind? would i need a window switch with this setup or is it just recommended?

For a 100 shot, NGK TR6 plugs gapped at .030. You can use it without a window switch, but I sure as hell wouldnt.

How about a 96' cobra. What would it take?

what kind of plugs what i use if i only wanted to run a 75 shot?

For a 75 shot, you should use a plug that is at least one heat range colder and gap it tighter, around 0.35 or 0.40. I would use Autolite 103's.

Venoms don't need a window switch because the function is "built-in" already. However, you could add one if you wanted. Thing is with nitrous, where do you quite with safety features?

I have really gotton sour over nitrous recently. It seems that either you can go with a conservative kit for under $600 and call it a day, or spend $2500 on every bell and whistle when you could spend a little more and have a blower. Either way, don't spray until you can call yourself an expert or you will pay.

Nitrous is neither good or bad. It is all in the application and in your goals and how you use the car.

A guy with a brand-new 2006 is gonna have a different opinion that a guy with a 1991 with 150k miles on it who is waiting for a built motor to arrive and could care less about blowing the current motor.

Keep in mind, I used nitrous, played it safe, and damaged three rings which resulted in a new motor. Nitrous is like that. But, I can tell you, when it hits hard, it is fun as hell.

There will be a lot of different opinions on what a safe nitrous system is depending on who you ask. For me, its all the switches, window, wot, FPSS, upgraded pump, TUNE, plugs, purge, and bottle heater. All of them play a big role in running the system correctly and getting the most out of it. Ive stressed this so many times and written this out so many times. Im tired of doing it.

When running nitrous, you need to gap the plugs close because nitrous is harder on the plugs. If you dont gap them close then youll run into problems. This comes from Ed Clark himself who tuned my car.

Nitrous has a bad name because a lot of people dont know how to set it up right then they screw something up.
