100 shot...........a guy up at the track was running a complete stock car except had slicks and 4.10's with a 100 shot of nitrous. he ran a 12.01

BlackStang21 09-13-2006 07:49 PM

so would 100 shot be complety safe for my car and also wud you suggest wet or dry??

smg32208 09-13-2006 07:55 PM

i think 100 is the max u could go while being safe, and from everything ive heard, the wet kit is better than dry. theres a few writeups on all this already. go into the poweradders section and there are two stickys at the top on nitrous. and then there is another thread that was just started not to long ago called nitrous for noobs or something. check it out

100 shot or 125 max is generally what is considered safe. Personally, I think 75 - 100. It all depends on your priorities.

Unless everyone here knows what car you ahve I can't believe they haven't asked you yet...So what car do you have that should help us alot.

Wrong section nitrous is a power adder....

I have been on a 125shot for almost 2 years now.

100 shot wet or go home.....

I ran 100 shot since the car had 40,000 miles. Now it has 100,000 and it runs just like it did at 40k! Im selling the n20 because I no longer need it. If you ever plan on a blower, id say just go ahead and start saving for it.

I have run a 75 zex shot wet for several months on 100% with no tune or anything. Spray is fun, but I am stepping up to a 125 and getting an inline pump and tune.

I dont know how much a V6 can handle but I would go with a Zex 75 shot wet because its very easy to install. Took me about 2 hours and I have never done any nitrous installs before. Its very simple and the instructions are great, you can do it yourself trust me.

I ran the ground wires from the control box and purge to a ground under the hood, the white wire to the middle wire in the TPS, and the + wires into the center console and used the lighter for my + source.

Unfortunately the 4.6 Plate wont fit on a v6. Unless you were to convert it to a nozzle setup. I cant sell the parts until I can get them all off the car and take some pics next week. I will be selling a bunch of parts. K&N FIPK, Steeda underdrive pulleys, NX Wet Plate kit w/all safety, and a NOS Progressive controller w/ digital remote.....its all gotta go to make way for the blower

For a newbie to nitrous is your very worried about it, i think ZEX is a great starter kit. But there kits dont make alot of power. SO i think in your case a used or new ZEX kit might just the ticket for you.

you don't run nitrous with a perforamance chip in place unless you have a specific nitrous tune that backs the timing off to stock or just below. You don't want bad things to happen.
