4.6 Plate system
is there any way to buy a shark to plate conversion system? i really want this plate but i don't want to buy a whole new system
:helpsmili :helpsmili |
any reason why you want to change to a plate setup?
|
well i have the kit and haven't installed it yet and i would like to avoid drilling into my intake tube if possible...and i've heard the plate has better atomization

Damn you asked it all over did you?
NX sells a converstion kit that changes it over to it. But FYI they have a nasty lean spike. |

The plate is WELL worth it. Pulls much harder to the redline and hits very hard. Dont worry, every kit has a lean spike and the one from the plate is not any worse. It wont kill your motor thats rediculous. It just makes more power. The orfices are directed into each cylinder for great distrubution. A GT with the plate will beat a GT with the nozzle, so yes it is worth it.
Yes NX sells the kit |

Yes NX sells the kit Not worth it IMO. :nono: If there was any advantage, I'd convert tomorrow I've never seen a plate kit outperform my single nozzle on shots of 150 and below. :punk: Jay |

Jay It all comes down to how the kit is setup and installed. The better you can flow fuel and nitrous through the lines and solenoids, the more average power you will make. The plate allows you to use a 6 inch line from the plate to the fuel solenoid. Also a 6 inch line from the fuel rail to the solenoid. That setup outperforms something with 3 foot lines to a nozzle. Flow is what you want.... |
