I'm gettin' blown!!!

It took six years but i'll finally get rid of these blue balls in about two weeks! Got a rebuilt P1SC kit w/ i.c. for $1500 on ebay. What tuner should i get? I'm leaning toward the Xcal 2. Any input? Thanks in advance!

Pretty sweet deal dude. But i'd take it to a performance shop and have it SCT custom tuned. Are you still running on a stock motor? Because if you're using that nitrous kit on a stock shortblock, and run boost... you're going to have detonation real soon. Just a warning...

You have to have that on the dyno and tuned correctly. Id go with an SCT dealer personally.

All I know is that a proper tune when you get blown is critical. When my older brother recently kenne bell'd his 01gtvert he used the tune that kenne bell sent him. this tune was very rich as to avoid any problems... my brothers car however made only 50-60 more hp with the sc! obviousely not very happy, he went back in about a week and got the SCT retuned, and made about 80 more than the last run... so, tune that bitch!

def not hittin the sauce until motor gets built. i'll be doing the install @my brother's in Orlando. Lamotta's Perfomance is about 20 minutes away. Can i limp over there on the stock tune? . anyone had a dyno tune there?
Comments on the experience?

Your stock tune will not get you to the shop. unless you didn't upgrade the maf and injectors. If you left the stock maf on ad inj you'll be fine. Also depending on how much boost and how good of a tune you get will let you know how long the motor will hold up. I put a max of 13# boost on my stock motor but that was borrowed time. I had the motor built so I cranked up to 15# boost.

Man I wish I could run into a sweet deal like that. Im looking turbo, but if someone was selling a P1SC kit for $1500 I would take that in a minute.

Congrats. I'd find an SCT Dealer in your area. Buy the XCal 2 from them and they should be able to give you a very safe tun with it so you can limp to the shop after you've done the install. Then have them dyno tune it.

Thanks guys. I know of 2, so I guess I'll have them flash a tuner and then bring it down for a little dyno time!
