Simple Spray

Damn...ok forget the heads, cams and supercharger stuff for now. I can't afford it. I've decided to purchase a Z.E.X 75shot wet kit. My question is... Can I just re-install my factory tune from my predator, throw in some colder plugs, and safely run my nitrous kit outta the box? I just want this to be a weekend install and not have to worry about taking it somewhere and getting a custom nitrous tune for my car. Is this in any way possible?

yea thats possible. but..a custom tune for your nitrous is SERIOUSLY recommended. Its always great to bump the stock timing back a few degress...maybye like 4. Without a tune...there is a higher chance to F*** your engine. Better spend the $$$ and be safe...

That wouldn't be a problem at all. put it back to the stock tune, run colder plugs but gap them to 32-34. don't worry about timing, zex says you can do 75 or less without messing with the timing. there shots are more to the crank HP, unlike some of the kits where it's to the wheels. Once you go to 100 or 125, a custom tune would be the optimal thing to do and timing will need to be backed down.
I had a zex dry kit on my 95 GT, 125 shot, and i kept timing at 10 degrees, which is stock, and it ran great. sucks that when i wasn't using the nitrous, the timing was at stock and when you bump the timing on those cars, you can feel some more HP. So a dual chip would be the ideal. one for performance and one for nitrous.

wrong forum moving.......

With your 4.10 gears your gonna need a tune for the speedo etc.. to work. You can just go into the predator and pull timing back out to stock timing tables and add a touch of fuel for saftey. Then just use NGK TR6 plugs (comes gapped at .035 whihc is perfect) and then just spray it. Or call whoever sent you the predator and ask them to send you another tune with stock timing and fuel tables setup for 4.10 gears. I mean there a few ways to go about this.

ok cool. Any other extra safety parts i should purchase that don't come included with the Z.E.X kit?

i would get a window switch from MSD other then that nothing really its got all the saftey stuff you need at the moment.

Id at least put the car on the dyno and check the a/f.

Also a gauge, it's only optimal at 900 psi, any less it's not as powerful anymore and it's a bad thing. blow down tube and bottle heater to get the psi's up there.
