2 Bottle's???
Well my girl was driving around to day and came accross a garage sale, so see looked to go see what was there, turns out there was a basically brand new venom nitrous bottle sitting there and she baught it for me for $20 bucks....is it possible to run two bottles?? is there really a point??
|
I know you can, I've seen cars with two. Not sure about the hook-up or even if you really need two for the street. But for $20 it's nice to have a spare bottle I quess? Do they ever "go bad?" Hell I would have got just to make a lamp out of. LOL
|
It always a good idea to have a spare full bottle, just in case....
|
I would use it as a spare. You can run both at the same time. It just doubles your holding capacity.
|
if you want them both moutned in the trunk and hooked up you just need a y-adaptor and then another two lines to hook to the Y.
|
If you wana sell the bottle, I'd buy it. A NOS bottle right next to my CO2 bottle would look sweet!

Running two bottles has other benefits then just holding more nitrous...
|
hay that guy from F&F has it, its gotta make you faster lol
j/k man, it sure would be nice to have a back up. |

It has the added benefit of better sustained performance. That's the best way I can put it right now lol. When you spray nitrous obviously bottle pressure and line pressure drop a bit (from both the nitrous cooling and it leaving the bottle). A lot of hardcore racers have told me the same thing running dual bottles seems to help with having a consistant hit and therefore consistant times in the 1/4. I wish I could explain this better but I can't. You could always go onto lamustangclub.com look for a member who's screen name is on'dsauce. He can give you a much better explination then I can. |
Something to add on to my previous post.
I was somewhat correct LOL. But where the real benefit comes in is during the run especially towards the middle/end of it. That is when the dual bottles help maintain constant line pressure and allow for a better sustained hit. |
sounds like it makes sense. btw, your car is freakin hot cuban!!!

Thanks. Like I said I can't really explain it that well. If you want a real technical answer you can ask Pete (on'dsauce) over on my clubs boards. Or I might just have him do a small write up. I'll see if I can get in touch with him. |
A bottle heater does the same thing. I see your point, but it isnt really a problem with the shots these guys are gonna run.
