I'm not defending Obama on this issue because if that's what he honestly believes then I don't agree with most of it, but I think he's explained his opposition to some of that stuff because of other details in the legislation. I'm not in tune enough to tell you exactly what he said, but I remember he explained it. I'll try to find more info on this.

The thing about legilsation is the devil is in the details and the last sentence of the bill could have said "and any doctor who performs an abortion will be hung on the spot"...so a legislator might oppose the entire bill based on that one sentence.

Chris, you know that I would never understate the obvious love that you have for Logan. I just simply don't understand how someone could abort a child that they have made just because "I don't want it." Just makes no sense to me.

This is why I enjoy having conversations with people like you because we can agree to disagree.

 

Just so we are clear I am slightly pro choice and I would support any woman who was in danger I don't support obama becuase he would let a little american totally born and whole die and that is not ok.

I'm not a one issue voter and this is not what I base my vote on but it makes it easier for me to call him a bad person.


My mother and I both almost died when I was born and I still support abortion in drastic cases but I'm also thankful to be here

And jj, thank you for the reply. As far as the assasination argument, let's just say.. I'm not the only person who believes it and I've heard that comment by several people. I honestly don't know if he'd last 6 months. This ofcourse is totally presumtive and in no way a rock solid fact, but totally possible.

 

I dont think it should be casually done... dont get me wrong... regardless, it is a possibly fatal medical condition, even if everything is going perfect, it can still kill the woman.

For that reason alone, i dont think there should ever be any bans on abortion.

As for the Aborted foetus thing, yeah, that is sick. If the infant is alive and capably of living outside the womb after a very late term abortion, i think all rights of the parents should be relenquished, the baby should be put under the supervission of the state and all medical measurespossible should be taken to keep the child alive.

just becuse i dont think it has the "Right" to live, i dont think there is any reason to let it die, after all, it is no longer a part of the mother and it has been born and dammit, it is an american.

As for the Obama abortion article, I don't agree with him but i'd let him defend himself before we jump to conclusions. I think we can all use some common sense here and realize that theres most likely a reason for his decision, not because hes some crazy baby killer.

Steeda, I completely agree. I can't stand this bailout crap that W. is proposing, but at the same time I don't hate him. I also said (in the previous thread, weeks ago) that if Obama were to be assasinated it would be one of the worst things to happen in our countries history. And yes, it would be completely racial. I'm not saying I would want to see the man killed. Geeze. You guys should seriously learn to read!!! lol

 

Abortion is one of the few topics that is very rarely black and white though some people will say that it is I fall right in the middle of the gray area I will defend the use of abortion to save a mother but if I was a doctor I don't think I could recomend it and on the other hand I knew a girl in high school who have 3 abortions by the age of 18 becuase quote "it just doesn't feel the same with condoms"

Edit and one of the "fathers" was 23 had a good job and begged her to have it and let him raise it. She was a murderer plan and simple cause her reason was that she didn't want to get fat

Either she was very good at hiding her emotions or she was a sociopath becuase she never once expressed any remorse the doctors at the clinic actually told her she had to stop using abortion as a form of birth control or so her friend who went with her told me.
