Storm,

Awesome!! As a recipient of some of the warmest gratitude imaginable when I arrived in Bangor, Maine when I got back from Iraq (and in Cincinnati when I came back from the Gulf War) - I can tell you this is one of the best thing a serviceman (or woman) can get. A simple "Thanks" - whether by sign or verbally - truly warms your heart. Thanks for passing this along.

America is really coming through on this, and it's realy cool. No matter where most folks stand on the war, most are awesome towards servicemen. Thanks America! And thanks Storm for energizing the Stangers!

Thank you.

we took an oath...it it was good enough for me to fulfill that oath when i was serving...it should be good enough for them now without all the thank yous....it annoys me to see service men who WANT that...the only thank you any soldier should need is that the flag is still there and strong....so wives go home and thank your husband for being there...husbands go home and thank your wives...children go home and thank your parents...soldier be a soldier and soldier on

Did you go to war? I'm betting you just counted boots some place here in the good'ol USA.

i defended against foreign...i'm still defending against domestic...point is... spend your time thanking those who deserve it more...your family...people want to put up banners? put one up in the house for your spouse after a hard days work....family structure in america is in the shitter...has been for years....and thats cause everybody is too caught up in meaningless trends like this gratitude campaign...personally i'd rather get off a plane and see more people holding hands into each other than giving me the politically correct "oh thank you"...my whole family has been in the service since my grandad was fightin nazis...i met my lil brother at the airport and he just got back not long ago...but he was in his civvies and the same yahoos goin out of their way to thank guys in uniform would bump into him and give him the stink eye.....heres an idea....if you really want to thank a soldier?...thank a soldier by giving him a few bucks when hes homeless in the city.....thank a soldier by goin down and spending time at the veterans hospital....i hang out with them at least once a month...do you?
