Gold deep dish Bulletts

What do you all think of these. I repainted in PSP to see what it would look like.

Nope. Black is much better...sure, more common. But a lot better. I think colors besides black are really hard to pull off in those rims.

97MGT 01-10-2005 10:31 PM

ehhhhhhhhhhh

venom 01-11-2005 03:19 AM

You could pull it off if you had the gold tooth to match. Of course you would have to be :toothy5: out the window all day.

MattJ 01-11-2005 06:25 AM

noooooope!!

2valvekid 01-11-2005 06:55 AM

I am gonna have to say the black looks way better. The gold is kinda :icon_puke :icon_puke : :nono:

gtnumber2 01-11-2005 07:40 AM

Hahaha....and you definitely gotta get the crown air freshner!!!

xcler8 01-11-2005 10:12 AM

Personally I like the newer "black chrome" wheels coming out....

Ghostalker 01-11-2005 11:52 AM

personally i think it has potential, you would need some other gold accents to go with it, like gold atenna etc. but then it would look more like a pimp'mo'bile then a muscle car, lol

venom 01-11-2005 12:10 PM

You could get it over to West Coast Custom and have it pimped out like they did that Fox body vert with gold top and wheels. http://www.xzibitcentral.com/images/...y_ride_020.jpg :icon_puke

Han Solo 01-11-2005 12:43 PM

Dayuuuuuuum almost 100% negative. LOL

I was gonna combine the look with gold lemans stripes. Kinda like this but just repaint the currently painted portion of the wheels.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of polished stainless on the teeth to get that chrome look. All of em so I didn't hafta hang mah head out tha window to see em.

Thanks for honest replies!

Now those rims are not gold but gunmetal color, flat. The one on the stang with stripes are better but you will need to match it with the stripes.

Ghostalker 01-11-2005 04:26 PM

Who was that with the gold stripes, remember him from somewhere (forget if it was this forum or stangnet)
I really liked who's evers mustang that one is, the black one with gold stripes, does autox... i know he had to take the stripes off cuz his detailer put black wax over them ='(

That is mine.

Ghostalker 01-12-2005 02:17 PM

well if maybe you get those same striped, then hell yeah, it would look great with those wheels =D

Jeremy 01-15-2005 06:51 AM

I'm gonna have to go with a negative on the gold wheels bro.

02Stang 01-26-2005 10:23 PM

i don't know about gold, but i do know bronze looks hot on black cars!

809 01-27-2005 05:43 AM

The gold would work if you had matching stripes that went over the hood to the back.

Short answer is 1 1/2" drop front and rear with 275/40/17's front and 315/35/17's rear.

Long answer:
It measured about 1 1/2" drop front and rear from what it measured before. Before I had already taken out the front isolaters and replaced them with thin teflon. After I used C-springs with X2 ball joints and installed the stock isolators and the shims that came with the ball joints. I cut the top coil off the rear C-springs. I have since milled out a set of delrin isolators for the top of the front springs with a 3/8" seat and used them in place of the stock isolators and shims. The spacers that came with the x2's were making the springs ride out of the isolators and started making popping noises that were driving me nuts.

Not a big fan of gold. :dontknow:

buddyabe 02-21-2005 05:31 PM

first look reminded me of smokey and the bandit. Pontiac had that gold honeycomb wheel option in the late 70's
