Haven't really posted anything in awhile. Finally added some wheels and other goodies to the wrx. Car has turboback exhaust, intake, tune, upgraded front/rear swaybars and endlinks. Looking at upgrading the turbo soon and possibly getting tuned for E85.

New wheels and before lowering springs.

I was going to, but actually there's a place called SpeedElement in Hayward. They had them cheaper, so I drove over and picked them up from them.

Looks like the same wheels I had on my Speed 3. I had Rota G-Forces with 235/40 tires, little rubber band tires stretched on the 8.5" wide rim, haha.

Haha, those would be the rims except 9" wide with 235/40s. I was surprised the stretch isn't all that bad. You don't notice it too much. I didn't want to go much wider on the tire cause they already rubbed on the fender. The rears are rolled and it's perfect now.

What kind of tires are you running?

I used Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star specs and those fit perfect and then I moved onto a Hankook Ventus V12 and those had a little stretch and they were the same size. I had to roll my fenders and I was at stock ride height, lol. I could only run a +48 offset with the 8.5" rim, sad.

They are Dunlop Direzza D101 or something like that. My fenders needed to be rolled at stock height too, but drive around for almost two weeks before I rolled them. It was fine with just me in the car, but my wife and I went out of town for a night and the shit rubbed like a mother on big bumps or dips. Shredded part of the tire pretty good. I'm running a +35 offset.

I had the same issue. There were days I would have lots of spagehtti strings hanging off the edge of my tires. I also got a couple of pull spots on my rear fenders until I had them rolled. I think I paid 80 bucks for a body shop to do it.

The mazda's just didnt have any room to run a more aggressive offset. Didnt really get the concaved look I wanted but it was there a little.

yeah the subie doesn't have much room either, but with a little negative camber and the roll, things seem perfect. Haven't rubbed yet and I have a tad less than a two finger gap in the rear.

I would of been ecstatic if Rota made a 8" wide rim with +42 offset that would of looked sick but not enough people are applications exist for that kind of combo.

I miss the subaru. I'm going to try to get back into one once I find me a job! First I have to start looking for a job. I'm about 6 months out from actually being able to look for internships.

Thanks man. I think they are the perfect color for a silver car. Not too shiny, not too dark. Hyper Black.

The tires look too skinny for the rims they are mounted on.

They are stretched a bit. I could probably go one size up, but any more I'd most likely have rubbing issues. I might be able to get a little more clearance if I go coilovers down the road. As of now, if I go much wider than the fronts will rub on the strut.
