I'll get better pics one day. This is just mah proooooof. I need new tires.

whitestang04 04-22-2011 04:04 PM

Nice!!!!!!!! I really need a set of those myself. Please get tires this time before it's too late.

Oh and we'll have to get together for a shoot some time.

PColav6 04-22-2011 04:05 PM

Need to make some money first, I sold a camera lens to fund the one-in-a-lifetime parts deal. Not really rolling in any surplus cash at the moment, haha.

whitestang04 04-22-2011 04:09 PM

I hear you. I want to get coil overs so damn bad since I have to do the shocks/struts and CC plates but I just can't swing it right now.

PColav6 04-22-2011 04:40 PM

Yeah my front struts have met their maker after 2 years, my car is too low for anything hydraulic I've decided. front C/O swap is high on the list after tires.

whitestang04 04-22-2011 04:48 PM

Didn't you get Bilstiens not too long ago?

I can only do coil overs in the front because of the D specs but I will eventually get MM adjustable lower control arms to adjust ride height at all four corners.

PColav6 04-22-2011 05:03 PM

I have bilsteins in the back, but still using some hydraulic struts in the front. My front suspension is all out of wack, needs a pretty heavy duty alignment and possible new tie-rods and I really want to get rid of this awful steering rack. There is about $1500 in suspension parts I have been jacking it to for a few months now and would really like to find a job so I can indulge.

You Igmo, :D you put your chin spoiler on wrong. I know real men don't read directions!

Somebody drop the ban hammer on his ass!

PColav6 04-22-2011 05:43 PM

Haha, when it was mounted on the GT he mounted it flush with the front, so both edges of the chin spoiler were about 1/4" from the edge of the bumper. It warped over time and wouldn't match up with the holes I had drilled from mine. So I lined it up flush with one edge (oops) and re-drilled the holes. It's flush on the passenger side, about 1/2" gap on driver's. I'm going to paint the little air deflector shits under the bumper black so it's not the noticeable.

TUFF 4.6 04-22-2011 05:49 PM

Yeah mines beat all to shit. Need a new one bad!

PColav6 04-22-2011 05:54 PM

Have a friend with a Mustang wreck their car and take it for $10.

whitestang04 04-22-2011 06:07 PM

Fuck the chin I want to find someone with a totaled stang for a set of $100 Bullitt/Cobra/Mach brakes.

Steeda97 04-22-2011 06:18 PM

You should put 18" Black Saleens on your car.

Anyone got any pictures of white new edge with 18" saleens? Hijack. F u PEE.

PColav6 04-22-2011 06:25 PM

Completely black wheels look like dick-cheese.

DICK-CHEESE.

Don't forget about the $250 speakers and $100 seatbelt. ;)

Turns out factory center caps are 1/8" too small to fit in aftermarket wheels (MOTHER FUCKER) so I can't really do anything with them.

Kevin, are your wheels from AM? Mine are and I just put on factory Ford centers a couple weeks ago.

If you can't use them sell them bitches. Mine cost me $85 new. You could probably get at least $50 for them.

PColav6 04-22-2011 06:59 PM

Yeah they're from AM. They fit loose and aren't completely flush with the rim surface (looking at your pic yours don't look exactly flush either). The only way I can get them to not rattle around would be to glue them in place...but that means they have to be broken off to change tires, lol.

I read that aftermarket wheels use 2.5" centercaps and factory are 2 3/8"

whitestang04 04-22-2011 07:06 PM

Ahhhh I see. You know what weird is the back don't rattle AT ALL but the front ones do for me a little (don't rattle while driving but not a tight fit). They both sit about 1/16th of an inch recessed though. It doesn't bother me though.

ETA: from anything over 5 feet you would never know they don't have a perfect fit. ;)

PColav6 04-22-2011 07:12 PM

Eh I might fuck with them. I just don't want them to fall out while I'm driving.
I tried swapping out the metal ring from my black caps onto the pony caps (it's a bit larger) but it doesn't hold it in place any better.

I didn't try to put them in my front wheels, just the backs, and they both rattled. I instantly became a sad panda.

whitestang04 04-22-2011 07:25 PM

For the front I tried to bend the plastic tabs and the metal ring but that didn't help any. I can say for sure that mine won't fall out, they may spin a little but they took a lot of pressure to push them back out. If the spinning bothers you but the slight recess doesn't just try a small amount of epoxy (JB Weld or similar) on a couple of the tabs.

PColav6 04-22-2011 07:49 PM

Yeah I guess I may as well do it.

I really fucking despise taking the wheels off of my car, though, I have to drive onto a 2x4 to get the fucking low-profile jack to fit under it. And taking off the lugs is annoying, I'm going to start using an air ratchet and say to hell with the wheel paint, it's coming off anyway.

Sigh

whitestang04 04-22-2011 09:02 PM

I tried changing them out without pulling the wheels. I was kidding myself and that only lasted about 5 minutes. You MIGHT be able to change them without pulling the wheels if you are willing to destroy the old caps (drill a hole in them then pry them out). I am still not 100% sure that would work though.

08mustang_gt 04-22-2011 11:55 PM

Could you put some electrical tape around them and stuff them in???

Just a thought. I am from Tennessee, so redneck engineering is my spe-chalty.

I disagree.

stanger00 04-23-2011 08:59 AM

Great addition.

All black wheels with no lip look good. The dished rim all black not so much. I'm contemplating CCW's or TF's for my next stupid purchase.
