Well it's not something you can see when it's installed on the car so I took a pic before they go in. Hopefully my car won't ride like shit anymore.

But now I have adjustables :D |
Good dampeners! I should have gotten D Specs instead of Illuminas, but I never planned to get coilovers.

Yea its pretty bad. My car is at 56k miles so the stock shocks and struts would have probably died even if everything was stock but I installed my Eibach lowering springs close to 10k miles ago which has certainly killed them.
But now I have adjustables :D |
I will be doing something like this for my car this summer. I was told my shocks and struts were worn and im only @ 51k miles.
Car is going to have a nice subtle lowered affect and better handling. |
I just replaced my stock ones after 110k+ miles. Still rides the same, actually. I need to change my camber plate or whatever it's called. While I was at it I did the Rear Dampers and Steering Rack Bushings.
Those are sexier than mine. :( |

I'm surprised you didn't notice any difference after changing them at that amount of mileage but that just goes to show they don't have a set lifespan. It depends a lot on driving style and road conditions. Why do you need to change your caster/camber plates? Do you have uneven wear patterns in your front tires?
I need new ones because my mechanic said that he couldn't adjust it to the specs he wanted to since they were maxed out or something. He said it's not something I really need or anything. I don't know if I'm getting uneven wear yet. |
mine is at 165 and still stock. I want to wait until I can get something that is a little better than stock replacements but those damn unexpected costs keep coming up.
I want to wait till I live in a place i can lower it a bit too... I have to wait at least until I change the house i live at or I wont make it up the driveway |
new parts rock!
|
Still gonna ride like crap.. lol Just get used to it. :p
Have fun puttin' them on though! |
