Does anyone have any pics of there car in the building stage to show how much they cut out to lighten the car, interior

I don't think many people on here have really gutted their car. Mostly backseat removal. R3d probably has done the most.

Before i go to the track i removed my rear seats, empty out my trunk, removed passenger seats, both door panels.

Thats a good 75lbs or so

There's a lot you can do. Is this going to be a street car or a full bore race car?

Basically, if you put in full length subframe connectors and a proper cage (8-10pt) you can cut pretty much anything out that you want. You could do a full back-half job on it with that kind of chassis augmentation in place.

For just a street car, pull all the rear seat junk out, drop in racing seats in front (Corbeau Forza's are light as hell), put in a racing steering wheel, delete the ABS, AC, spare tire, jack and rear speaker deck. Replace k-member with tubular, control arms with tubular, springs/shocks with a coil over setup from Maximum Motorsports and you'll be down on weight by almost 200lbs (if not actually a tad more).

If you want you can also shell the doors and replace all the side and rear glass with plexi, delete the HVAC unit, carpet and headliner. After the above and this set... things get all sorts of cut-y and it turns into an unstreetable race car.

Don't bother stripping the sound deadener for weight savings. There's not enough of it anywhere to help for the amount of effort it takes.
