Brother's purchase this time, 5.5 million ser # range Harrington & Richardson Inc (HRA) M1 Garand. Post korean-war build so it's condition is astounding. It was graded as 'service grade' by the Civilian Marksmanship Program's armory so it was listed at $595. Beautiful rifle and it looks like it has never been fired, came with a new birch stock with new stock hardware.
I'm jealous Attachment 20386 Attachment 20387 Here it is next to my 2mil ser # Springfield Armory M1, WWII rifle. Mine is a 'Field Grade' Rifle so it's in more...used condition and was $425 when I bought it. Attachment 20388 http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68/Kevin-/gun/4-1.jpg Well mine was probably used to kill germans/japs/italians/koreans in anger whereas his sat in an armory for 40 years. I guess that has to count for something. Hah |
I would rather have the WWII era one any day then his.

Awsome rifle. I was just talking to my grandfather about that rifle yesterday. He was issued one when he was in the Marines and he loved it. He qualified as a marksman with it too(someone correct me if i said that wrong). I will have one sooner or later, gotta finish building my AR first.
