Good Pictures of the "Fobra"

Last nights pics were horrible, just a quick look. These turned out alright for 10 minutes at school.

When are you putting those fog lights in? It almost looks ass without them.

SeanStang 11-26-2008 10:32 AM

Looks good, but you need the bezels and fogs asap, just looks unfinished. You need to wet sand your drivers side headlight, the passenger one being brand new makes the other one look foggy even though it's not that bad. (May be wrong but looks like it in the pictures...)

Stephen4036 11-26-2008 10:34 AM

its ok, it needs to be wetsanded... and ill get fogs soon dont worry its 170 for the whole kit.

Havokk 11-26-2008 10:39 AM

Man you looked at it hard seanstang, i didn't even notice that, very noticeable now that you've mentioned it.

SeanStang 11-26-2008 10:41 AM

Lol. I didn't look too hard, I'm just very observant I guess.

Hey stephen 4036, Nice car. Are you gonna put the black chin spoiller on it aswell? I think that would make it look realyl good aswell. It look badass. I know you'll add the stuff that seanstang and havokk were mentioning so I know it'll look really good. Good luck man, cant wait to see more.

Badfish 11-26-2008 11:05 AM

The hood is fine with the bumper IMO. Where are you gonna order your bezels and lip from?

Stephen4036 11-26-2008 11:07 AM

yea i really like that hood actually, a scoop or cowl would just draw attention away from termi bumper... the whole light and bezel kit with bolts and pigtail connecters is 170 from Latemodelrestoration and randy can get me it 188 which i dont beleive b/c my ford dealer wanted 285 and chin is 135 from latemodel aswell

and badfish did u just let the hood hit the bumper and not worry about it.. i actually put down electrical tape then double sided ashesive tape then more electrical to act as a cushion.. what did u do?

3.8for the win 11-26-2008 11:09 AM

looks good!!

haha, I totally forgot about that. yeah I didn't even think twice about it. it was a little harder to close, but it's really not a big deal.

Stephen4036 11-26-2008 12:00 PM

well it scratches the top of the bumper, u cant see the scratch marks when you close it tho so its fine im sure hitting it...

SLP02GT 11-26-2008 12:36 PM

Looks real good...Lowering it would make it even better

Pilks 11-26-2008 12:41 PM

sorry just looks weird

Black Sunshine 11-26-2008 12:49 PM

I think it looks good, but it will be a lot better when you get everything you need. :)

because you are missing everything...just stop eating take out for a couple weeks to cover the cost of 170 which really isnt all that bad

SeanStang 11-26-2008 01:18 PM

raise your hood props a tad to keep it from scratching

then his hood wont line up with the fenders...complete wrong approach to solve this problem

here is a quick write up on what i was talking about from another site...if you need pics to show where you need to start i will walk to my garage and snap a few since my bumper is off of my car at the moment.

SeanStang 11-26-2008 01:37 PM

With the hood open you will see a rubber prop on each side, just simply turn them to either lower them or raise them.

Stephen4036 11-26-2008 01:39 PM

ok the thing your drilling is the "headerpanel" correct... mines brand new from the wreck.. so I understand the conecept... puck back the top of the cobra bumper so the lip of the hood goes over it.. instead of on top of it.. if you could take pics let me know and also let me know what size drill you used and screws and stuff

I know it will mess the alignment of the hood and fenders up, but it will at least temporally prevent the hood from scratching his bumper up until he can move the pins back like your suggesting.

i never had to do this because i dont have a 03-04 cobra bumper. i dont have a ruler or drill bits to say what size you will need. the holes are pretty small i would say from 1/8th" to 1/4". so, the pieces that are hitting the hood are the problem right? well there should be some plastic screws or pins holding them down...well yank those out mark a spot a 1/2" back toward the motor and drill the new holes. yes, its that simple. here are some shitty pics i took.

this part here is where you will mark 1/2" back and drill.

this is the black pin thats on my bumper do not modify these holes
