Check Out Our New Police Cruiser, GT Stangs

We got two of them and they replaced two Harleys and six Crown Vics. Of course they don't carry people around in the back but they respond to calls. I saw one while driving a car at work and it was pretty awesome.

DJ_Nate 07-16-2008 07:41 PM

Lol I didn't even think about that. I wanna see what number the other one is. If it was 281 that'd desserve a pat on the back.

White99V6 07-16-2008 09:42 PM

i wouldn't mind getting pulled over by that... lol idk why.

Stephen4036 07-16-2008 10:11 PM

The Winter Park Police got an Undercover RED Shelby GT with shaved logos.

how do you know its a shelby? you could not even tell a v6 for a v8. lol

Stephen4036 07-17-2008 12:35 PM

I read the report in the newspaper dipshit.

well i really dont think the police bought shelby GT's there about 10k+ over the price of the ford mustang GT's.

and there not mass produced like mustang GT's.

Stephen4036 07-17-2008 12:57 PM

Ill look for the article online.. the winter park police got it for being the number one traffic district in central florida or what ever.

http://www.ci.winter-park.fl.us/2005...ustang07.shtml

thats the article on the site, but the news paper said Shelby GT.

might have been a typo becouse online is different. and it does not say if its a GT or v6. maybe it was not 30,000 till they got there traffic-monitoring stuff.

Winter Park Police Department (WPPD) became the owner a brand new $30,000 red Mustang coupe at the annual Law Enforcement Challenge (LEC) held at the Omni Rosen Hotel on August 9. The Mustang is fully equipped with $12,000 of traffic-monitoring technology.

I know online is different, the paper said shelby GT 350 or w/e the # is after GT.

A guy that lives by me decked out his charger to look like a cop car. Its got lights, colors, even the gate between the front and back seats. Funny thing is its not against the law to do that and I keep thinking its a cop when I see the guy, pisses me off. I noticed it wasn't a cop when I looked at his plates.

uh, impersonating a police officer is definitely illegal. If he has blue or red lights on that thing he's breaking the law

And stephen4036, there is no way any law enforcement agency would bother with a Shelby GT, they are more expensive than a regular GT and not any faster. A big waste of money for people with cash to burn who want it because it says shelby on it. And 30,000 won't buy you a shelby GT anyway. Besides you actually OWN a mustang and can't even tell different models apart. Why would you expect some random guy at a newspaper to know the difference?

in Florida you cant even have blue and red neon... i doubt your allowed to put lights on the car lol.

He may have ment the spotlight on the A-pillar. There is a guy with a gray charger that put a spotlight on the A-pillar in my town. It kinda looks like a would-be undercover police car, but not over done.
