What software did you use, I have been playing with photomatix some, and my mom that does photography of cars told me about one called DxO which does it too.
Really love that first one! |

For all the merging and tone mapping, I use Photomatix. It's a really easy program to use. For any other editing, I'll use Photoshop CS3.
Creating HDRs is fairly simple. Take a camera, use a tripod and take anywhere from 3-7 pictures of the same exact thing, but adjust the exposure (ev settings) to get a range of pictures from dark to light. You put it into a program and it merges all the images together and brings out all the various colors, highlights, shadows, etc. Then you tweak settings and viola!
