Default 3 New Mods, two self-made, 5 Pictures

A while back when I posted some pictures of my car with the new rear rims and springs, some people thought that I should paint my bullitt fuel door. Well I did.
Forgive the dusty driveway pictures. The car is really dirty. The pictueres therefore kinda suck.

I also put on some 3rd brake light and side marker tint, no pictures but you can probably see them in the fuel door pictures. Everyone knows what they look like anyway.

And for the third mod....well it's kinda questionable. I read a thread on CornerCarvers once about the radiator air deflctors and how they are actually helpful in keeping temps. down. I've never had a Mustang that still had the air deflector and I wanted one. I decided to make my own instead of buying a stock one.

I got some 10"x10' alum. flashing from Lowes for like $5 and some thicker gauge bracing. I took measuerments, 36" wide by the 10" that the alum. came in. I bent it in half, made the cuts where they needed to be, rivited the bacing, and put that sucker on there. It's alot bigger than a stock one but really almost un-noticeable unless you are trying to see it. I should probably paint it black. But here is it.

The first version had 2.75" of clearance. It only hit two things while driving for a day but it is really flexible and doesn't hurt it any but makes a terrible noise. I decided to fold the bottom up .5" up to give it a little thicker edge and more clearance. I actually haven't scooped up anything with it yet. I ran over a plastic sack the first day and thought "Well that on my radiator now." but It wasn't when I stoped to check and see if it actually scooped it up. I can't really tell if it keeps the temps. down since I have a stock temp. gauge though. Opinions NOW!

I like, for it is both unique and functional. Something I would think about doing in my free time this week...
Also, the fuel door looks badass

looks great, that air deflector thing looks cool too since it mostly hidden and is functional.

looks nice, like the rims and cobra side skirts look sick! What size? Looks sick as hell, chrome FTW! Make me wanna switch my decision about going with black wheels man!!! But why not just keep your stock fuel door?? I cant notice you have an aftermarket one, cept the rivets around the door? I think they're expensive for what they cost, why not show it off!?!? Just my opinion...

The rims are 18x9 and 18x10. I don't have the stock fuel door anymore and I've had the bullitt one for about 4 years now. I used to like the look of the bullitt one but then it started to become and eyesore for me. So it's not like I'm spending more money, just time and effort to change something.

Also, thanks for liking my air deflctor lol, I was afraid you would all think it dumb.

it would only look dumb if it hung down a lot and was truly noticeable, but even then I can always appreciate things that are functional, to a certain point( depending on if it is a street or track car). I would be curious to know what kind of temp. difference this air diffuser has on your car.

Yeah I would like to know also, the guys over at CornerCarvers swore by it. The only thing I noticed was the first day that I drove with it on, I made a trip to my girlfriends house, a trip I make regularly so I kinda know how long it normaly takes the car to reach the middle of the temp. gauge. It never reached the middle the whole trip even though it normally does about 3/4 of the way to her house or back. But there are too many varibles in that to really say if the air deflector was the reason it was staying cooler. Could have just been me trying to save gas haha.
