Just got these. Vault 20s. Maybe too much for the 330 horser. What do you think?

B-rett 12-30-2007 09:46 AM

dont like, put them on a caddy

-GOCK- 12-30-2007 09:53 AM

omg please tell me you are joking

redjode 12-30-2007 09:57 AM

No joke. I got an awesome price. The stock 17" bullitt's kinda suck. These are for sale at a good price.

r3dn3ck 12-30-2007 10:04 AM

k... can't say no loud enough. 20's on new edge cars look like crap. Those particularly look like chit. Only a fur coat wearing New Orleans pimp would use Pearl grips on a pistol or those rims on a stang.

Remember those 20's will make braking performance suffer horribly and they'll reduce your effective HP and TQ. Oh yeah... and tires are 250 bucks a pop to start, on sale, plus shipping.

redjode 12-30-2007 10:29 AM

Tend to agree with you. Had to buy em' for the price though.

zigzagg321 12-30-2007 10:36 AM

another Mustang ruined by g-homie-wanna-be thug rims. those are some of the ugliest rims I have ever seen on ANY car EVER...take them off ASAP and get rid of them!!! they have no business being on ANY car...let alone a Mustang. and what do you have done to the car to make it have 330hp?

StormsGT 12-30-2007 10:50 AM

OH!!!!!!!!WTF???????NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

And look real shitty too.

redjode 12-30-2007 11:09 AM

I am indeed removing them. They are for sale. They fit any RWD or 4WD Ford. They may look good on a truck?

Any buyers/traders can contact me any time.

I am looking for a set of 20" chrome bullitt's.

Jode

No 20's on a mustang!!

PistonsFan102 12-30-2007 11:56 AM

I just died a little inside...lol.

r3dn3ck 12-30-2007 12:12 PM

19" in back and 18" in front is as big as you really want to go. You have no idea how expensive tires will start getting with V8 power, a short wheelbase and 300 dollar tires. The v8 grunt and short wheelbase makes it horribly easy to roast the meats and therefore even more tempting. You can scrub off 2-3K miles with one good burnout and Z rated tires are not known for being useful much past 15-18K miles.

I'd even suggest stopping at 18" all the way around.

redjode 12-30-2007 12:24 PM

I agree about the cost of tires. But....you only live once. And yes....I can burn em' to flat (and have).......and no I shouldn't.

Jode

Codiddy 12-30-2007 12:41 PM

but is it worth having people laugh at you when you ride by?

you need to agree that 20's on your car will look like shit. DO NOT GET 20's ON A NEW EDGE!!!!!!

18's MAX!! 18's on a new edge are the best looking.

redjode 12-30-2007 01:41 PM

Yep. I agree that they are a bit big and look like a#@. Just grabbin' opinions.

Thanks, Red

JackThe Ripper 12-30-2007 01:44 PM

Dude, those rims look like shit. I cannot honestly think of a single car they would look good on. they are just so fucking ugly it is laughable.

If i saw you driving that doen the street i would pull up next to you, point at you and LAUGH MY ASS OFF, then take my time beating the tar out of yer mustang in a race because of how much those god forsaken samarai-snowflake looking things would slow you down.

And now, you are looking for another set of 20's?

dude, 20's look like shit on the new edge sn95s. Plain and simple.

sorry man, i know im coming off a little harsh, but seriiously, you need to just sell that mustang and get yerself some SUV if yer into shit like that. Or go get an oldschool caddie and donk it out.

Awesome price?... you mean they are paying you to have those on your mustang?

you couldnt pay me to take those rims

Sorry took so long. As stated in previous posts- Shorty headers with full SLP exhaust (and no....I have not heard a better stang to date, except for full on racers), K & N complete airflow system, and some other small mods. Basically I just opened up the breathing capability of the 4.6. Considering an aftermarket supercharger, but maybe not cause this is enough for the daily driver.
Local dyno at 337 RWHP. Have slip proof if you need it.

There is no way it makes 337rwhp or anything even remotely close to it with those mods. Sounds like you got someones elses dyno sheet.

redjode 12-30-2007 02:15 PM

Sorry to disappoint you Ghosty but this car started with 260 HP from the git go.

lol... 260 at the flywheel man, not at the wheels.

yer sitting maybe 225-230 at the wheels tops.

its called drivetrain loss

redjode 12-30-2007 02:17 PM

Do some research Todd. Just the exhaust mod is 40+ HP, let alone the intake and pulleys and etc...
