cheaper than a converible but still has the versiatilty of a coupe.

i wonder how a glass roof does if you role the car?

Mixedbreed02GT 12-12-2007 01:57 PM

what a dumb idea...ford is hurting and hurting badly.

Must See 12-12-2007 02:14 PM

i actually like the idea. I myself would actually like to have that option.

krazypony 12-12-2007 02:35 PM

thats not going to work.

PColav6 12-12-2007 07:42 PM

Why wouldn't it work?

Mustang’s Glass Roof is made of tinted privacy glass, which reduces both infrared rays and vehicle cool-down time by 50 percent. A manual roller blind is built in, allowing owners to further control exposure on sunny days.
BTW: The roof would have to be DOT approved, so if it becomes an option, then it has passed the safety tests.

I agree. it is not gonna work.

no.

Okay....

hard to tell if you're being sarcastic

I see a big security problem, thieves will be busting into cars since they will be able to see more of whats in ones car as well. Its a neat idea for sure, but see alot of problems with it.

Hello this is Tint Pro Donnie speaking.

Yes hello I need to get a price on getting my windows tinted.

Ok sir, sides and rear with a visor?

No, I need the sides, rear, visor and roof tinted please.

PColav6 12-13-2007 07:55 AM

I don't think any of you are actually reading the article..

The glass is tinted-privacy glass.
....

I have mixed feelings about it. I think it's kind of cool, but on the other hand I'm not sure I like it for some of the reasons people mentioned....mainly the security issue. I can't imagine how expensive it would be to fix if some ass hat decided to bust it.

venom 12-14-2007 06:03 PM

I think its great, get a sun tan with no sweat.

OH NOES TEH HAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!

ClemsonStang 12-14-2007 07:30 PM

hell the aftermarket had it out thanksgiving of 05. i remember seeing it at the big ford swap meet in columbus ohio.

its safety glass, it'll just crumple anyway. and i dont know about new mustangs, but the roof skin on my car is flimsy as hell, so its not offering any help anyway. theres just as much of a chance that it would wrap around my arm as it would keep it in the car. no more dangerous then ttop foxbodies either...
