Wheel Spacers...The Sequel

After selling my 18's, I needed to fix the F up that Ford insisted on doing to the 99-04 Mustangs. The pathetic wheel gap. I had 1.25" spacers before, then sold them, now I am back with some 1" spacers I picked up used off of Mod Dept.

dunno...315's on some 10.5s out back would do a better job. But of course at a much greater cost.

StormsGT 05-19-2007 03:38 AM

315's are the way to go.

Yes, 315's for some would look 10x better, but for me...the spacers are just fine.
I just figured I'd post some pics for those that are looking to close up the funny looking gap for around $50. Not to mention, increased handling due to a widened track.

Thats cool,I'm not dogging you. I wish my garage was as clean as yours.

Wow, i havent been around in awhile. Do you still have the SC?

Looks great! That's probably going to be my next mod after springs. That looks a lot better and it's a much better idea than the one I had. I was considering beating in my rear fenders with a hammer to get rid of the gap. lol...

Nope, sold it.

Yeah, cheap but effective appearance mod.

I would do it if I could find some spacers that work on OEM wheels...

What kinda wheels do you think I have? OEM Bullitts.
I even had spacers back when I had my OEM Pony rims.

LOOT 05-24-2007 10:55 PM

I know this is a noob question but where can I find a set of these spacers. I have the OEM bullitt style wheels too.

EDIT- nevermind I just checked good ol' ebay

LOOT 05-25-2007 12:02 AM

Well the ones on ebay didn't say they would work with the OEM wheels. They had a great price though. What kind will definately work with my wheels?

The ones on eBay lol....you might have to grind about an 1/8" off the ends of your studs. There are no threads out there. Can't hurt anything.

Ghostalker 05-25-2007 07:58 AM

That was my point, the ones you posted up looked like they only work with the aftermarket rims, because the aftermarket rims have that empty space where the bolts would now extend... and OEM rims are filled in there. But If I only have to shave off a bit, it seems feesible.
