Hell, I thought you'd be done by now! I may try over my next off cycle from work to do mine, I'll have four days. You've inspired me! I just spent a few minutes looking at my car. I swear I can get the driver's side manifold off by just removing the steering shaft. I can see the entire manifold and all the bolts. With the shaft gone I don't see why it can't be removed and headers installed. The passager side is another story, but if I can just jack the motor up on that side it will be alot faster than dropping the K-member. What do you think? I'm going to try it, if it is a no-go then I do it the long way.

Looks good man. In the first picture it looks like the hook is hooked up to the belt.

Actually, this job is soo much more enjoyable since I am going slow with it.
I really wanted to try and do the install without removing the K Member, but after pulling it down, I would not do it any other way. K Member is down, manifolds are off and I am done for the night. I am probably going to buy replacement gaskets since I am in there even though EVERYONE so far has said to reuse them.

Here are some more BEAUTIFUL PICS.
BTW, last pic are some plugs I picked up at the salvage yard today to make my o2 extensions.

Man that's great, your almost there. Now just the re-install. I agree with the gaskets, if you have to go back due to a leak you'd shoot yourself for not replacing when you could.:wallbash: I also see the mount from the driver's side that comes off with the K-member, this is the only thing I see giving me trouble. I guess it's the LONG way...Oh well I'll have the time. Time to make a engine support...mind if I borrow your design?

No, I am making new o2 extensions for the L/T's.
#1: The ones that came with the headers had insulation squashed near the sensors.
#2: I like the idea of plug in extensions, not extended wires. :D

Oh yeah, I have been driving my truck the past two days since it has A/C and the company car don't.:censored:
