To pin stripe or Not to pin stripe

Gave her a basic wash today so she would'nt look nasty when I took these pics, but anyway I want everyones opinions on wether or not I should put pin stripes on my car.

Oh, and thanks to jack the ripper for the stripes to do my bumpers.

Off Topic but if I get H&R super sports would I be alright for awhile without C/C plates?

pin stripes along the side? or next to your solid stripes? I think an accessory pinstripe next to the solid stripes look good, but pinstripes along the side look like poo poo

:stupid:

Hey Darksith, ill throw these in for comparison.

minus the rims, this is damn near exactly what it would look like with pins.

40thblckgt 05-02-2006 05:40 PM

Wow, I love the stripes on as it is. I wouldn't touch it. Do the super sports without the CC plates. You'll be ok for awhile.

Oh yah, Darksith, check out the bottom of mmy rear valance. I had them going all the way down like yours then pulled the very bottom part off. think it looks sweet that way

Are'nt your pin stripes like 1/3" form the stipe, they look good in the pics, but when when I taped my car off it just seemed like to much of a gap.

Does anyone have pics of a black stang with stripes that are painted on, I plan on getting my car painted at or near the end of the summer, and I plan on getting the stipes painted on. I'm just not sure how wide I should get them, I was thinking if I got them painted on I would get them 10" wide?

Thanks man

Sweet! I'm not a fan of bumper inserts but those look great with the stripes! My next horse will definitely be black!!! Sweet!!!

FritoBandito 05-02-2006 06:07 PM

If I ever went with stripes I'd do em just like jacks. They just don't look finished without the pin striping.

Lances03SVT 05-02-2006 06:08 PM

I think it look's awesome either way!!!!

Uhh, i think they are 1/3rd. sause the pins are 1/4 inch right? id say between 1/2 and 1/3 inch.

B-rett 05-02-2006 06:17 PM

MooneyedStangGT 05-02-2006 06:50 PM

Well, guess i cant speak for everyone but im sure we all see a slight difference between the professionally hand painted pinstriping vs the vinyl striping. LOL

However, comma, we will probably continue to use "pinstriping" when referring to the vinyl pins for the remainder of this conversation due to a lack of better or more convenient word.

hope we dont offend.

:beerchug:

wish i had a hot rod.... one day...... one day.....

Badfish 05-02-2006 07:12 PM

eh iod rather have old school muscle than a hot rod...hot rods are bad ass tho

MooneyedStangGT 05-02-2006 07:19 PM

my appologies for getting off topic...

i think the side stripes look killer next to the thick stripes...

then again i may be bias considering my chevelle has the side stripes next to the thick ones.

Fat Lard 05-02-2006 07:21 PM

They look alot better with the bumpers done. Now to convince Dom's fat lazy wop ass to finish his girl's car. But on another note, I think you should pin it.
