Muscle Cars and B-1 Bombers...or...What I did at work today...

We set up a couple of B-1's on our ramp today for a squadron photo, but before that we had the opportunity to bring our cars out for pics. It's not every day that you get to shoot pictures of your car next to a multi-billion dollar group of airplanes...

i did the same thing with my car before we moved up here last summer. they were like do you want one with the 130's i was like F no. that guy with the green vette bought my friends old house, he lived right around the corner from me. i tried to get a pic of my car with the f-22 that landed there also, but that just didnt work even though my dad is best friends with the wing commander. nice pictures though. of course the yellow stands out the best. +1 for the yellow guys.

Thanks for the comments!!!

We had hoped to have more cars out there for that pic, but not everyone could make it out. There were a lot more cars out there, but those were just the cars that belong to us B-1 crew chiefs. We tried to talk the commander into letting us take a "spirited" drive down the runway, but that idea got shot down. It probably would have torn up some tires anyway since the runway is HIGHLY grooved concrete. Maybe next time we can talk him into a trip down the taxiway...

back when my dad was thinkin about flyin the U-2, we got to take a SS camaro down the runway. their so lucky their foxtrot cars are SS camaros

Yeah, this was both AMU's (9th and 28th) combined...I wish I had thought to get a pic of how close the wings were to each other...it was a VERY tight formation.
