03 Flywheel/Clutch info

I've been reading some recommendations on putting the 03 cobra flywheel and clutch into my 96 Cobra. The throwout bearing is squealing so I have to go in there or listen to it squeal and the guy I bought it from repalced the clutch at a small shop and used a generic replacement about 25k ago. Basically what would be needed to go this route and how much would it all cost. What are your thoughts? It is stock so I don't have crazy RWHP to contend with. Should I just go with the OEM clutch and flywheel instead.

well, how much $$$ do you want to spend as the 03/04 set-up is $$$$

I was looking at the McLeod Streetpro series clutch, a billet steel flywheel, and new clutch cable for around $800. It is basically all stock and I intend to keep it that way, I guess the 03/04 may be overkill for a weekend cruiser. I am trying to make sure when I do something to her I do it right so I don't have to go back in there again. Thoughts?

sounds like a good deal on the McLeod stuff, good equipment, so I'd say go for it....

Seems like a bit much clutch for my taste on a bone stock snake. I'd probably just put a OEM clutch on it. They're more than satisfactory for an unmodded 96 cobra. The billet steel flywheel is neat but totally unnecessary. Nodular iron will do just as well and cost way less.

Randy can hook you up with a stocker for about the best price you'll get. Probably save 300 bucks on the deal.
