Part ID and prices

I have these heads with part number RF 2C6E 6C064 AG on them...Could you tell me what they are off of. I also need the crank one piece gear/key for a 99 Cobra (the trigger wheel part number is F2LE-12A227-BC) I think you told me once they needed to match. Could you also tell me whats in the lower gasket kit and cost? One last thing for now. Can you recommend a Ford head gasket for this application and price. (99 Cobra block and those heads with boost)

Thanks for your help and time.

Welcome Aboard bro"

now on that stamp #? could it be "2C5E" and not "2C6E?"

1999 uses a different crank gear than the 2001 up and using the wrong gear and trigger wheel will result in engine damage....you'll need the XL3Z-6306-BA ($27.19) to go along wth that "F2LE" trigger wheel, it and the crank key are in stock....
lwr gskt set is $91.24 and shipping is @$9.00 on the above...lwr set has oil pan gskt, pik-up tube o-ring, frt & rear crank seal, frt cvr gskts and a water pump o-ring and would have to-be ordered

for a "boosted" engine, alot of my customers use the '03/04 Cobra head gaskets, $245.00 pr and in stock

It could be "2c5e" is that a good number?

randy.. I had an issue with crank trigger wheels during my install. Could you expound on that or provide any other details or links so I can figure out all the details.

well, I'll try: there are 2 different crank gear and trigger wheel combos.....1 is the pre 2000 that has the powered metal trigger wheel and then 2001 up that uses a "thinner" stamped steel trigger wheel and uses and crank gear wth a "shoulder" on it to eventhings out...if you use the wrong gear wth the wrong trigger wheel(depending on which one) your chains could be off a bit either front or back....hope I explaned it as so you can understand, as I am typing this while answering ther fones;)

r3dn3ck 11-27-2007 12:22 PM

does this manifest itself in the erosion of the timing chain guide arms or does the damage accumulate on metal parts? I'm pretty certain that my setup is ok but I want to make sure.

I'm assuming that if I give you the casting number of my front cover you'd be able to tell which it is? I'm pretty certain that it's a 99 or 00 front cover (I had 2) which would require the thick gear which is what I'm using.

Of all the donor motors that I took apart, not one of them had the stamped wheel. All 3 had the thick wheel, so I should be ok.

Randy Stinchcomb 11-27-2007 12:27 PM

it can depending on which "wrong-way" you go, I've had some customers that caught this early, as when they turned there engines over by hand they locked-up....cant really tell by the front cover stamp # as they were pretty much the same on 5.4's....just remember the gear wth the "shoulder" on the backside goes wth the "thinner" stamped steel trigger wheel............

r3dn3ck 11-27-2007 01:10 PM

well... mine started right up and runs like a butt raped ape so I'm betting all is well.

Thanks for all the help with this Randy. I'm going to get a list together and make one large order instead of several small ones.
