Default voltage regulator

hey randy, need a part # for a voltage regulator for a 2002 V6 mustang coupe. also, will it work with a non-motorcraft alternator? i believe it was replaced with a Duralast? i have to check the brand after work, was bought from Autozone last year so most likely a duralast. thanks!

sorry I mistook your post as meening for the volt regulator gauge, in the dash/cluster

now the volt regulator is ONLY serviced in the alt as an asbly from Ford, if you bought aftermarket, take it back as they usally have a free life-time-warranty.
now thats the catch/problem wth those aftermarket alt, they might be cheaper than the dealer but what good are they if you have to re-place them every year or so
what it is, is a ploy toget you back in the store to by other stuff as you wait and walk around, while getting you your "FREE" replacement alt, starter, water pump or.....
