Im New Here
hi everyone! new guy here...97 GT 5 speed. i cant seem to post a pic so pacific blue and grey leather. i really like soaking in all the knowledge of stangs you guys post here. i never got much into cars before but when i took my stang on a test drive the power at my fingertips opened up a whole new world, so if anyone has any suggestions of where to start upgrading performance wise it would be greatle appreciated. i only drive like a mile to work so fuel consumption isnt a biggy, but i do want to be able to go somewhere on the highway and not75mph @ 4000rpms. oh and one more thing, does everyone get "the look" from your wives when new parts catalogs come in the mail ?

same here, esp when it's a huge box, like the one my x-pipe came in, she thinks if it's big then it's expensive, so as long as I order the small stuff like TB and pulleys and stuff she don't care as much. Oh and where to start on the upgrades, out of all the stuff I did, I'd say the x-pipe, shifter, and tb/plenum combo are the best. The cold air sucked(go with steeda, I'm about to get rid of this MAC crap) I took it off, and put the stock airbox with a K&N, and it actually ran better.

I used to get weird looks from my mom when my father and I were ordering anything (on the computer), but she doesnt know what we order as my fathers business requires daily UPS drop offs and pick ups! (He is an ASE certified Car Technician, and a ASE certified truck technician. He is contracted under Hunter. He installs, and services, all of those nice things in shops and dealerships such as wheel balancers, lifts and all those other big red machines! We get shipments coming in from Hunter HQ in St. Louis, so we know our UPS man very well. His terrotory extends over Fairfield County CT and Westchester County NY. This is good for me, as i have awesome 'connections.' One of my favorite things is getting tires for wholesale, and not paying for balancing or mounting or any of that (i know its only ~20 bux to begin with) :evil3:

That's the difference between you and me. I do have a wife, so when the UPS man shows up with stang parts I am like "zhit, I hope she is not looking".
