New member,old Mustang !
I realize the majority of the Mustangs on this forum are a lot newer, but without the classic Mustangs where would we be today.
This is the only Mustang I have ever owned and I bought it new when I was 18.
Hope you like it.

sweet lord, that car is amazing!!! You will probably have to post pics weekly so we can all drool over your car. That thing looks better than the day it rolled off the showroom floor.
how many miles on it? Do you still drive it some?

Sweet, sweet baby Jesus...want to trade? Your car is magnificent! The Boss 429 is and always has been my favorite car by miles.
Welcome to the boards.

I am a little suspicious though, since the first picture is on google images if you type Boss 429

So you had it since you were 18, with only 23k mile sso i assume it is all number matching anhd origional?
I bet that would fetch a pretty price at the barret jackson auto auction.
I would never have the heart to sell it though
i dont suppose you have any video or audio clips of it running?

If you actually look at the link, it goes to another forum.

Na it's cool, I actually feel the same way and it was just completely random. Almost sounds like someone else on here trying to be someone else. The pictures look really suspicious too. ahha I can go and on.

That being said, it is a numbers matching car,but I have modified it from original starting with removal of the smog system 6 months after I bought it.
Headers, distributor work, and traction bars followed allowing runs at Maple Grove Dragway in 1970 of 12.48 at 115 MPH.
As other things happened in my life I parked it in 71 for about 30 years.
In 2000 my son and I took it compleatly apart, spruced up where necessary, sent it out for first class paint, and had the engine massaged to 550 HP.
I haven't run it against the clock since it's reincarnation other than a blast down the track at the Geezers at the Grove event untimed. But,it's definetly faster than 12 sec.Stock was a single 735 Holley and the pair of 715's on the original Ford dual quad manifold along with the Comp hyd roller cam and some other touches really do the trick.
To you doubters who raise question,it is indeed my Boss you see in Google images twice on the first page and on various other pages as you go through.
The pic on the track is the SAAC convention at VIR in 2006.Many other pics are from various car shows includin this past summer at American Muscle in Malvern Pa.
And Jack, everything in this world has a price and yes it would be over 400K .
I do have a video as soon as I figure out how to add it.
