In a relatively stupid moment, I agreed to help my son install a new headlight switch in his 98 Mustang. Got the switch, can't get the knob off so I can change the switch. Is there a trick to this?

pull the switch all the way and then if you turn it you will see a slit thats open. Take a small flat head screw driver or something equivalent push in the tab thats inside there and it will come right out.
