I am not trying to be rude or bash your car but you wont get that for it. Not even close. Maybe $15.

I bought my 04 GT brand new for 18 and change.

I know for a fact is varies from state to state. Down here you won't find that price for what you have listed. BUT, i have seen your price match and maybe beat a few by somewhat in other northern states.

Get ready guys. GM's recent sales program of selling cars at employee price has been such a success, that Ford and Chrysler are following suite. This means, resale is going to drop even further.

Where did you read this or is it just speculation? I think that Ford and Chrysler would be dumb to follow up with this but whatever works.

It was reported on Fox News yesterday. GM just announced that sales were up 30% in June, so an "insider industry expert" that was interviewed was reporting that Chrysler was already working on a game plan and that Ford was one-step behind. In fact, if I were in the market for a new car, I would wait for these new programs.

I would also take off some of the bolt ons and sell them seperately. Not only do you get some of the original money back but the car looks more stock.

Looks like that was a fair price for both parties, though I think you may have done a bit better than the buyer.

I just saw a vert at a dealer same year similar miles going for $12,500 or something like that.

The only problem imo with these prices are that when they end the sales, their cars sales are going to tank even further. Its just like the rebates, its a viscous cycle.

Toyota and Honda have proven that people are willing to pay near full MSRP and no rebates for a good product that is proven to last.

The other thing is people fail to realize that the car they are buying for 2K under invoice new will be worth half that in two years. Where Toyota and Hondas and other companies with little or no rebates hold their value very well.

GM, Ford, and Chrysler (to a smaller extent) need to make better cars that are equally powered, styled well, built well, and at a slightly lower price and they will at least come and look.

Yup. We continue to have american companies that are think near-sided. GM had no other choice as they had to move product. They are getting killed by the 675,000 retirees that they pay benefits too. The Japanese do not have this problem, so they can think more long-term.

I suspect Ford and Chrysler will be announcing something soon. Even if they are not as agressive as GM has been, I am sure they will make it appear that way.

I was just doing some research on buying a Wrangler. You can get a nicely loaded one with an MSRP of 26 - 27k. They are selling at one dealer that I saw for near 20k and that is w/o any new program that Jeep has announced to match GM's incentives. So, you see what I mean? Will they offer even better incentives, or just re-badge current ones to draw in new people?

Have seen the new Willys package on the Wrangler? That is the one I would liek to buy. Retails for 23 - 24k if I recall. If I could get one for 17k, I would just buy the dam thing for the zhit of it. It looks like an WWI Army Jeep. Same color and markings with camo seats. I think it would be a scream.
