Not your average 2000 Mustang. This car comes fully loaded. It is a silver exterior/black interior car. It has a 4.6L V8 SOHC (Single Overhead Cam). It comes with EVERY option available for this year and model. It has the upgraded 17 premium wheels and an upgraded 460mach Sound System (Incredible, it blows my friends aftermarket out of the water, best system you will find in a stock car). It has just under 45,000 miles on it, and runs fantastic. I have just had it inspected for my Spring-checkup and not a thing was wrong with it. I have had it serviced perfectly and just had the transmission flushed. It also had its emission test taken on it just a few months ago. MSRP= $14,000
Also when I bought the car I purchased an extended warranty which is transferable at the time of purchase. Its over 1300 worth of coverage. I have taken wonderful care of it, washes every week even in the cooler months. I have gotten a rust and corrosion inhibtor at Woodfield Chevrolet where I purchased the car. I have done all of the dirty work, now it is ready to ride. Now for the fun stuff!!! I had installed a custom automatic sun-roof at the dealer when I bought it. (Don't see many or any mustangs with sunroofs do you?) This item does not come factory with any model or year and is hard to have put in. It ended up costing me just over $3,000.00 Borla Cat-Back Dual Exhaust. This mean sounding exhaust comes with a million mile warranty (they will replace it forever!!!). It adds around 15hp and I feel it sounds the best by far on the road. You should hear this thing. $1200 after installation. I have also had a ram-air system specifically designed by March products installed in the spot of my intake inlet. This thing brings in major air creating around 15hp as well. Also I have purchased a GorillaChipz racing chip also around 15hp. $600 Possibly the most taken for granted part of this car are the beautiful tints I had installed on the rear and small side panels. I brought my car to my local Ford dealership to get my tints because I didn't want the fake purple look many cheaper places give. I had them install the darkest tint they had and let me tell you it looks remarkable! I get more comments on these than any thing else on the car (except maybe the exhaust). $600 This thing is in peak performance and mechanical condition. Much better than most any 2000 GT you will find. I have upgraded most everything on it (that counts anyway lol). I actually was asked twice now if this car was a 2004, and they were completely serious! The paint is in perfect condition (except for one small mark on the rear valence). I really don't want to let my baby go but I am going to college next year and well I think you can figure it out from there ($$$$). Also the winner of the bid will have first dibs at uninstalled Sprint Performance Lowering Springs- 2" drop and that even meaner Mustang appearance and handling. Retail $299.99. Winner can buy for $200.00 Also I have uninstalled March Underdrive Pulleys. These pulleys will decrease timing on your belts and increase horsepower by cleaning up and slowing your accessories! Also helps bump up gas mileage!! Retail $160.00. Winner is offered $150.00 I am asking $17,000.00 OBO. Located in Arlington Heights, IL (Northwest suburbs of chicago) and would appreciate pickup but willing to ship if necessary. Thanks for looking. If you need to contact me feel free to e-mail! jontlusty@yahoo.com or call if serious 847-577-6930 ask for Jon

Nice looking car. I think your asking price is way over what it should be, but good luck selling it

Man $1200 for a borla stinger catback huh? :violent1:
Sorry man aftermarket stuff doesnt really add on to the value of a car and your 2000 model is $2,000 cheaper than my 04 model was off the dealership's lot.

Nice car and it is obvious that you love it. Unfortunately, I think the car is worth about $10k tops. Around here, 2000GT Verts with lower miles are going for $12k and I have seen low mile 2004's for $18k. Not to mention, 2003/4 Mach I's for not much more than that.
Listen to 20 years of car buying and selling experience: condition does not matter much...it's all about loan and auction value. If you were to trade your car in on a 2005, you would get about $8k for it. My advice, is keep it. Better to not loose any money than to take a beating. After-market parts actually lower the value of the car in some cases unless you find the right buyer which never happens.

I paid only a bit more for mine brand new off the lot with 7 miles. The others are right about 10 is all you will get.
Mustangs are horrible at holding their value. Btw I paid $450 for my Borla exhaust new so you got hosed if you paid 1200. Try ebay and good luck.

A great man who started a circus one said "There is a sucker born every minute".
Not that it matters, but I seriously doubt that someone paid $17 for your car. The only people that offer what someone is asking for a car are people that usually never come up with the money. But hey, if you got that much money for your car, you can come to work for me and skip college. I'll start you at $60k plus all bennefits and give you a company car to boot. My friend Michelle (she is my dog groomer) just bought a 2003 GT Vert with 6,000 miles on it for $21k from my friend Tony. I brokered the entire deal and I still think she paid about $1k too much, but the odds of finding another one with miles that low is pretty hard. I placed an offer for her on another 2000 GT Vert with 24k on it for $10,800. The car was absolutely mint. Seller wanted $12,900. We were closing in on $12,000 when she bought the 2003. The seller called me yesterday after two other deals had fallen through from kids and was asking if we would still pay $12k for the car. I told him that we had bought another, but that I was interested in it and offered him my original $10,500 minus $500 for all my work and time. He got really pissed, but I said, "I will run a check down right now" this was after telling 5-6 times that he was asking too much over the previous 6-7 weeks. I bet I hear back from him in 2-3 weeks. When he does, I will drop my number again.

Yeah guys, i'm a salesman at a dealership here..and let me tell you...if you took that car in, i don't care how mint it was, and wanted to trade it, we'd give you no more than 9k for it. Maybe not even that. Like MT said, whoever bought that is a sucker!!! I owe 20k on my 03 GT and Dealer trade, it's worth about 13k which means i'll get about 10 for it. But being a salesman, i can work around that. hahaha. But congrats if you sold it. And a big "YOU GOT RIPPED OFF!!!!" to the guy who bought it!!!!!!!!!!

My question is, why is everyone so hell bent on jumping on this guys thread and trying to tell HIM how much they think his car is worth? It may or may not be, we all have our opinoions, but he will figure it out one way or the other. He'll get what he wants, or he'll have to lower his price. Let the natural course of things determine it. I just dont see the point of getting involved in someone else's sales post just to point out that you think they have a bad deal, if you think that |
