Default SCT Xcal2

Have an SCT Xcal2 Flasher for sale. Its programmed for a 00 GT but I assume you would get a dyno tune and have it retuned for your car. Guy I got it from said it had a premium tune, but it appears to have both a premium fuel and a 87 octane tune on it as well. Id like to get 300 shipped for it. Thanks

Matt

If I bought the tuner could I get a mail order tune for it? If so, then from who?

I thought I read it could only be used on one car? Maybe I just need to read more about it. I will buy it if I can get a mail order tune for my car.

Im not sure about the mail order thing, you'd have to already have a tuner in mind that could reprogram it for your car. I suppose you would have to send it to them and have them send it back, but if you have a tuner in mind, call and talk to them about it.

Also, you can only use it on one car at a time. When you upload the program onto your car, it takes your stock tune and stores it in the tuner, that way you cant tune more than one car with one tuner. Whenever you go back to stock, you load the stock tune and it puts the performance tune back on. Let me know if you find out about the mail order tune, and we'll get it going.

I just bought a mail order tune from VMP tuning. Jason was really cool, fast email of the tune and it was only $50.

I don't know that you can upload any tunes to it without the drivers and a key from SCT. That's what it took for my Xcal2 to get tunes from my PC. Fortunately the pro-racer kit comes with all of that.

Yup, you sure can. Software is available to download for free from SCT's site. Loading tunes is a snap.

Yep, the pro racer package is extra, but the software that interacts with the tuner to get the files on it are on the SCT website. A person would only need the tune file in the proper format, which the tuner would provide, to upload it.

As long as Matt has put his car back to stock, unlocking the tuner, there should be no reservation about buying this. If the tuner is unlocked, once you plugged it in to your car, it would lock onto your car, storing the stock tune in the unit. Then, you would just need the tune file from your tuner, upload to the device, then program the vehicle. You should have no problems as long as it is currently unlocked.

I called some tuning shops and the cheapest was $50.00. That puts it at $350, I think I'll spend $30.00 more and get a new one. Thanks

Why are you selling it for? Just an FYI for anyone who cares, most SCT dealers are offering an upgrade program for these: $225 back if you purchase a new SCT LiveWire and send them your unlocked SCT XCal2. There is other pricing options for other tuner models as well.

PM sent. Just want to make sure everyone knows. This thing will work on your car, IF you have it set by another tuner. It is tuned for a GTG3 ecu code, so if you want to use it on something else, your tuner will have to reset it to your ecu code and put the tune on for your car.

Just want to clarify
