Default 7.5" rearend Tlok + 3.73's

this is my stock 7.5" rearend that was rebuilt last year with ford racing tlok and ford racing 3.73:1 gears. Install was done professionally and there is no whine at all. I am upgrading and this is a great way to get arround having gears+posi.

my rearend that will bolt in = 300$

doing it yourself:
gears = 200$
tlok = 200$
install = 250$ (could be more depending)

thats 650$ at least vs 300$, come on good deal!!

I am in Melbourne, FL Local please but will consiter shipping it.

Exclamation

What kind of gains could I expect with this on a stock 6'er?

ie: what's the advantage? Better gas mileage? more pounce off the line, or better top end?

I would like to say im very interested.

gears and posi is arguably one of the best mods to do to your car exept for like a turbo or soemthing. It makes you accelerate faster, without giving you more horsepower.

Advantages: Multiplying torque. First gear is say 295 rearend is sasy 3.73, you have 225 tq, 225*2.95*3.73 = 2475 tq to the axle shafts

225tq * 2.95 * 2.73 = 1812tq to the axle shafts.

you get into final gear faster so you tend to get better city gas milage.

And obviously the Tlok makes you get power to the ground better, so you can hook up. And better burnouts

Disadvantages:

Your gears are shorter, you might have to shift more and you loose some Highway MPG (depending on speed)

So you want $300 for the whole rearend???
How much do you think it would cost to swap a stock 1995 V6 rearend with the rearend you're selling???

Its got all new bearings,gears, posi. Axles are stock and of course the housing is stock also. Its a beefy unit it has been behind his 300+hp car for well over a year no problems.

Its a simple direct replacment swap so yes if you can remove and reinstall bolts you can install this.

yes its just a tad short width wise but you can just run a small spacer on the wheels if that bothers you.

As spike said it is shorter. 1.5" to be exact. so you need 3/4" spacer or so on either side.

then you would want a small spacer on the wheel. its a good deal for a rear with gears and posi already in it.
