SLP race pipes/MIL's

OK, so I ordered the SLP race pipes and the Steeda MIL eliminators and decided after 3 days that the sound just wasn't for me. The pipes just have some carbon on them and some marks from clamping them on to the midpipe and the only thing missing from the MIL eliminators are a few of the zip-ties. I'm looking to make back as close to what I paid for them as is reasonable with 3 days of use so PM if you're interested. I have the original packaging and all and I'm guessing shipping will run around 10 bucks depending on location, I'm in zip 19446.

I got the race pipes because I wanted the exhuast louder but between the change in the tone and the need to swap 'em out every time I got it inspected I just didn't feel like dealing with it. Definitely got a few more looks than usual though, sounds much more like a classic muscle car.

im thinkin bought getting slp loudmouth 1 with a catted x-pipe will it be too loud with a o/r x pipe? that way if i get the catted x i can swap it for the races pipes if its not loud enough for me..

If you want to be able to swap... Buy the catted xpipe and then the race pipes seperately. You can save a few bucks doing it that way rather than buying an O/R pipe and then the cats seperately.

No, its not too loud. It sounds rather good in my opinion. I had LM 1 on my car with stock H and it sounded good.

IMO, as soon as you have a LM1 with an off road midpipe and stock headers, then it doesnt sound very good.

As long as you have some sort of cats either stock or aftermarket it will really help.

However if you get the FULL slp set up then the offroad midpipe will sound better, the SLP headers have a tendency to add more of a "tone" and deep growl rather than just "blah and loud"
